It is really going to make you mad when you find out the staff gets an elite eight ring as well. I am talking managers, trainers, operations, media relations, even executive assistants.

Not really, everyone involved deserves one.

Its just the player haters who think since they beat some 150lb dude from Sweetwater in High School wrestling in 1965 that only champions deserve a ring

My fiance's dad got a ring from Lowe's for being one of the top 10 best stores in the U.S.

He wasn't one though so he should throw it away.

What a touching story. That pretty much settles the debate. I had always wondered about whether Lowe's awards rings to its store managers. The fact that home-improvement stores award rings means without a doubt that UT should award everyone associated with the University a ring for losing in the NCAA tournament.

I can see it now. The football team is going to buy rings for beating UAB.

Getting to the Elite 8 means that you beat three opponents in a row, two of which were SEVERE underdogs to your team if your team is worth a damn. Therefore, you basically have to beat one opponent in a tough game.

Who would have thought UT fans would be arguing about the basketball team getting rings for having the best season in more than 100 years....i.e. ever. Is it really that bad? So many paradoxical arguments....well one anyway.

Actually getting to the elite 8 means you won at least 21 games in your season, then you beat 3 of the top basketball teams in the country
