Yes I'm doing OT, and emailing bracketologists. Let me start by saying he's now my favorite for returning an email, I dont see many guys doing that, jmo.

Here's my original email:
I'm a due hard Tennessee fan, give me some good news?

I know the chances are slim, does Zona get an auto now with that loss? If so is Tennessee on the outside looking in?

Thanks a bunch man, really appreciate it.

Here's his reply:
Well, Colorado will obviously be in, but dont think Arizona is. If anything, UW would be 3rd Pac-12 team. I have Tennessee in, many analysts dont.. probably 50/50 shot they make it. The game tomorrow for you is making sure St Bonaventure doesnt win A10, that would hurt your chances

good work bro.i think bc of stokes they will give us a hard look.

It really helps that only one bubble team has made any kind of impact in conference tournaments.

Exactly, and knock on wood, but up to this point there hasn't been too many bid stealers.

2 huge games left...

Long beach state tonight
And
Xavier/ Bonnie's tomorrow

n i t bound. anyone hear of joe lunardi ? 99 % right. he says we are OUT !! we need to be playing. what is the use of going the ncaa and losing in the first round, when we can go to the nit and maybe win the thing !!!!

Because winning the NIT is still worse than losing in the first round of the NCAAT.

The practices ok. But to have 7 straight NCAA tourneys under your belt going into the next season is huge for recruiting. Much bigger rewards for that than winning the NIT. Ask South Carolina they won it back to back and have declined continually since. NIT is a bridesmaid thats all. Its better than nothing but NCAA appearance no matter the showing gets you in the one shining moment video.

you cant be serious. 4 extra games plus practice time for this team would be worse than one and done in the ncaat. please explain your logic.

For one, you're assuming we win it all or at least make it to the NIT finals, which is a silly assumption to make.

Two, there's pretty much no concrete evidence that some long run in the NIT means greater success in the future. South Carolina won it twice and still sucked.

And three, if I have to explain why one and done in the NCAAT is better than winning the NIT, then you're clearly a casual college basketball fan.

Anybody who thinks an NIT run is better than just one game in the NCAAT, go ask the players which one they'd rather have. Ask Coach Martin which one he'd rather have.

This "winning the NIT would be better" talk is beyond silly.
