For the far left folks here who have been crying about Trump not releasing his tax returns, Phil Bredesen has said he is not going to release his either so will you all also criticize him non stop for this same action?

Some idiot on facebook went through the heroics of a Vietnam vet and then said the media won't tell you about this medal of honor winners death. He forgot to mention that he died in 2008. Fired up a bunch of morons though.

It's not like getting the participation trophy from playing little league.

Trust a veteran on this one. It's insulting to those who have been awarded it (and are still alive) by saying they "won" the Medal of Honor.

Understand your point of view, but "getting" a participation trophy is not the same as "winning" an MVP. Anyhoo, meant no direspect.

"Winning" an award like Soldier of the Month or NCO Asskickery Award of the Year is not the same as being recognized for superior performance in specific areas.

You earn a small arms marksman award. Not everyone does.

You earn recognition for overseas tours. Not everyone does.

You earn a Humanitarian Service Award...so on and so forth.

I'd dare say the biggest "participation trophy" the military has is the basic training ribbon. Yeah, everyone kinda has to have that one.

There are ones you earn and the MoH is one of them. You shouldn't have got hung up on the term winning.
