Enemy of the People

After the InfoWars app overtook CNN on Apple’s charts, ranking as the fourth most popular free app, the cable network lobbied Apple to remove the app from its platform.
InfoWars shot up the charts following censorship of its accounts on most major platforms, which ended with the network being banned from YouTube, Facebook, Apple podcasts, and Spotify.

As of this writing, InfoWars is currently the fourth most popular free app on the Apple App Store, beating CNN, the New York Times, Google News, HuffPost, and dozens of other mainstream news outlets.

The recent exposure of anti-white comments by New York Times editorial board member and bigot Sarah Jeong on Twitter prompted Wikipedia editors to attempt to mention the controversy on Jeong’s page. After repeated removals led to the page being locked, leftist editors rigged discussion about the controversy, leading to a summary favoring Jeong.

A restriction put in place on the article means editors are unable to alter the imposed summary without consensus, and editors challenging the Jeong controversy summary have been banned or threatened with bans. The end result is a carefully sanitized description of Sarah Jeong’s twitter history designed to treat her as favorably as possible.

So? He still has a website, a magazine, a radio show. I'm sure he'll be popping up on Hannity now that Sean no longer cares that AJ is a truther.

I edited. It is not his message I support. Have not watched/followed Hannity for years.

You (in a general sense) have a right to free speech, but there is no obligation on the part of the press (or social media) to provide you with a platform. That's not censorship.

LaCosta says his life was in danger at the last rally. Claims the media is not the enemy.

I don't know, you call supporters toothless, racist, white supremacists that hate black people and hope immigrants die. Then he is surprised they are upset with him when he covers their rally. Really????
Hey, he's just another impartial 'journalist'.

That is correct. The fact that FB has banned him and not others that they agree with, IS censorship by FB. (I am not talking on a legal level)

Is anyone really surprised at FB? Zuckerberg is a liberal. That said, he and FB have no obligation to provide AJ or anybody else with a platform. Does it feed into the "liberals are intolerant" mantra? Absolutely. Is it censorship? I don't think it is. It's a business decision.

That he sat in front of congress and promised he wouldn't do. His business decision was to censor AJ. FB has every "right" to do it, that is correct.

If you mean his right to speak his thoughts, guilty.
He does not have the right to defame people. Alex Jones has accused the parents of murdered Sandy Hook Elementary School children of being actors who didn't really lose children at all. These parents have been relentlessly harassed by his followers as a result. He is currently being sued for it. We'll see how that turns out ... but it doesn't look good for him so far.

One thing that Alex Jones demonstrates, is that a conspiracy theorist never just believes in one of them. They believe them all. You show me a nut who believes that 9/11 was an inside job and I will show you a nut who also believes every word of "Pizzagate", the Seth Rich/DNC murder conspiracy, the Sandy Hook parents are actors paid by gun control lobbyists - there were no shootings, the Apollo moon landings were faked and JFK was killed by the CIA.

Businesses should do what they see fit for their desires. No matter how much I despise these platforms, they can choose how to operate them. But, if/when it happens to the "other guy" I don't want to hear a peep about it.

Maybe those who are on the right and center who disagree should give up that crap. I've never and will never have any account on any of these make me feel important platforms. This site is the extent of my footprint socially, and it will stay that way.

You are FAR more invested in what he has to say than I am. I do not know and could care less about the message, just that he is allowed to say it. If it is defamation, then take him to court. That does not deny him the right to say anything he wants.

No, he does not have the right to commit libel and slander and he already has been taken to court... and seeing as how you are debating this point, just as I am, then your investment in this topic is equal to mine.

You twist to fight a point that is very non-combative. I have never and will never read/watch his stuff. Obviously you have. THUS, you have invested far more than I have in what he has to say. Which is all I said.
See, it does not always have to be a battle.
