Hey OP just wondering if you are feeling stupid yet? Seems like the only people that think that this hire is an "epic fail" are UT fans. The sports community is gushing about Jones.

Wake-up Vol fans.... Dave Hart just hired the guy who was Derek Dooley's signature win!!! This is simply unreal - Vol fans we do not have take this laying down. We must let the UT Administration, the UT Athletic Department, and any boosters who supported this hire know that we do not support them nor this hire!!!

Didnt know anyone older than HS age used Epic and Fail together. So I am guessing your probably 13-17 right? Which explains your football and coaching knowledge. This is a really good hire, with potential to be really good. Remember to stay in school, HS dropouts end up using words like Epic and Fail together..Just Sayn..

The fault is not with him rather Dave Hart. An AD who had no intention of being at UT for the long term. There are so many things wrong with this hire and jones does not even meet the criteria that Hart laid out as his requirements for the next coach of the Vols. There have been very few coaches that make a successful jump from the Big East to a power conference. I think that a poster listed two coaches out of seven or eight coaches who were able to duplicate the results that had in that weak conference.

Knowing what I know I cannot and will not support the actions that Hart has taken. That is the only way that I can show my disdain for all things Hart. To do otherwise, would in my opinion be acquiescing to the subversive tactics that Hart has used in this situation. I guarantee you that Hart is convinced that Vol fans will go on like it is just another day and that we will take whatever we are given without questioning the hire or the methods or the back room bs that had occurred.

Jones is not the best that UT could do but Many Vol fans are doing exactly what Hart expected... They are accepting third best when they could have had the best. Hopefully the big $$$$$ boosters will send a message to Hart! The media has already begun talking about how good this hire is. I guess it is true that if u say something enough people will believe whatever it is. And Jones staff will not be all stars. Tiny Richardson did not even know who Butch Jones was!

Jones already stated he is going to run a no-huddle, pro offense. It probably will look very similar to what we ran this past season with Bray. Geez, people, do some research before you post.

We weren't close to anything earth-shattering or you would have already brought it to light OP so stop trying to be melodramatic and just spit out any FACTS that you have. What? What was that? Still waiting. As for Arky landing a better coach in Bielema, you guys need to fact check again. 23-1 against the doormats of the Big Ten and sub-500 against the top tier. Wonder what Arkansas' wide receivers think about them hiring a coach who is predominantly run-oriented and hasn't ever brought in a QB of his own that struck fear in anyone's hearts? Oh, and before you bring up Russell Wilson he was a one-and-done deal at Wisconsin and they knew that coming in. We all get that everyone isn't happy with this hire, and that not all boosters will be happy with this hire. When was the last time everyone involved in a situation was happy with the outcome? Playing with yourself, alone, doesn't count.

let me tell you who is not going to take it laying down..85 young men who CHOSE to come to this university, not because of a coach, but because of a rich tradition and the possibility of getting a scholarship from this great university and maybe..just maybe playing at the next level in the NFL

for you to get on these boards and bash, not only the university and THEIR hire but to bash this team and these 85 individuals is what is an EPIC FAIL...

we don't need your support nor your bashing of what just might be a great hire in a coach...something we will not know til we give him a chance...

either back him or just go away and not post on these boards...you are now on my very small IGNORE list...thanks
