I was pissed at first, but hey after the last 4 seasons, what did we really expect.... Jon Gruden? I've resided myself to the fact that this is UT and nothing should suprise anyone after the last 2 coaching hires. We have us a Butch coach so let make the best of the situation......we are at the bottom looking up and if we begin to look at the situation as some opposition school things usually get better.....we'll be back to being average before you know it

VT was 6-6 this year. I dont know if that is something to be proud of. CBJ beat VT by 3. Miami beat VT by 18 or 21. We all know that VT sucks.

FACT is that Gruden was NEVER coming to Tennessee but AD Hart did make calls just to pacify delusional fans like you kid.

Gruden will NEVER coach college unless ESPN fires him and no NFL team will have him.

As to blaming fans....FACT is that even MZTERRY and others have PROVEN that many recruits and their parents DO come on here alot to learn all they can about Tennessee and our fanbase and what's being said when a offer of a schollie has been made.

All the negative, infantile garbage DOES hurt our recruiting.

That's why we now have LOTS of useless TROLLS that come on here constantly to specifically try and stir up crap to hurt our recruiting because they FEAR our Vols getting back up to where we were and where we belong again.

MZTERRY has a young son on our team and she seems happy with CBJ so far and she knows LOTS more about what's going on inside our footVol program than anyone else here on VN.

Either UNITE and support our new Head Coach and the assistants he hires or LEAVE because from now on every TROLL I find I'll expose every single time I see them.

We ARE starting all over from scratch so all the negative garbage needs to stop NOW so we can do our best to try and help with recruiting instead of hurting our recruiting.

Wake-up Vol fans.... Dave Hart just hired the guy who was Derek Dooley's signature win!!! This is simply unreal - Vol fans we do not have take this laying down. We must let the UT Administration, the UT Athletic Department, and any boosters who supported this hire know that we do not support them nor this hire!!!

The fault is not with him rather Dave Hart. An AD who had no intention of being at UT for the long term. There are so many things wrong with this hire and jones does not even meet the criteria that Hart laid out as his requirements for the next coach of the Vols. There have been very few coaches that make a successful jump from the Big East to a power conference. I think that a poster listed two coaches out of seven or eight coaches who were able to duplicate the results that had in that weak conference.

Knowing what I know I cannot and will not support the actions that Hart has taken. That is the only way that I can show my disdain for all things Hart. To do otherwise, would in my opinion be acquiescing to the subversive tactics that Hart has used in this situation. I guarantee you that Hart is convinced that Vol fans will go on like it is just another day and that we will take whatever we are given without questioning the hire or the methods or the back room bs that had occurred.

Jones is not the best that UT could do but Many Vol fans are doing exactly what Hart expected... They are accepting third best when they could have had the best. Hopefully the big $$$$$ boosters will send a message to Hart! The media has already begun talking about how good this hire is. I guess it is true that if u say something enough people will believe whatever it is. And Jones staff will not be all stars. Tiny Richardson did not even know who Butch Jones was!

If you don't like the coach leave. I support the Tennessee VOLS, not the Gurdens, dooleys, Fulmers, Jones. He is the coach and I will support him. If he fails I'm not going to say "Thats it I'm no longer a fan" like half the idiots do. Deal with it and support the team. Dang people blame gruden he was the one who siad no not the team or AD.:crazy:

its amazing so many people hung in there with dooley but yet so many are *****ing when we hire a coach that won his conference 4 out of 5 years? give him a chance before you get on here and bash him, its not like saban was gonna be our coach so lets see what happens before we jump the gun.

am i the only one that gets tired of hearing about mzterry...for all we know she is a 45 yr old man that lives in his parents basement. good luck troll hunter, you sir are a real bad a$$. thats a real stretch saying that people posting on a message board hurts recruiting. a young student is gonna go to whatever school will give him the best chance at the nfl or a good education..not based on an internet message board.
