ESPN Anti-Vol Hype?

I think Houston and Tulsa would beat them in C-USA, BYU in the MWC, and Boise State and Hawaii in the WAC. I did look at the MAC, and I agree SoCar would win that one.
I've seen Houston in person. South Carolina would thrash them. What happened the last time Boise State brought their fraudulent program up against SEC speed? BYU lost to Arizona. That clears that up. Hawaii? Are you tryng to be funny? Tulsa might have a shot at South Carolina if it were a home game. Otherwise, no chance.

I don't understand why everyone cares so much about whether or not ESPN or the media like TN.

Just an aside, but... I have never, ever, seen a poster say they liked any networks game coverage.
i can stop reading this thread right now...cause that's the truest thing i've seen posted about so called "network agendas against TN".:lolabove:

there's no consipiracy folks....no one is sitting in a control room wondering how they can screw TN each week....jeez.

Lou Holtz has secretly purchased and taken over the ESPN College Football part of the business. More to come...

I believe Kolb's squad would win a close shootout with SoCar. Tulsa could definitley take them. The defensive speed between South Carolina and an SEC Champion UGA squad is entirely differnt, concerning Boise. Hawaii has a very real chance of being a 10-11 win squad, with the most underrated player in the country leading them in Colt Brennan. I stick by BYU. There's no results backing that up, but having seen multiple games by both, I firmly believe BYU vs. South Carolina would be close.

You mean the Houston offensive juggernaut that scored 13 against the "U?" They'd be lucky to crack 17 against South Carolina.

Another "ESPN hates us thread." Wonderful. They hate us so much they've showcased us on their network three times this year. I can't believe they'd do something so awful.

c'mon hat, don't be so naive...u know they've only given us so much exposure because it provides an excellent fourm for voicing their contempt for us to a national audience. :) It is rumored the next broadcast will include an updated rundown of team arrest records; they haven't done that one in a few weeks.

much like hat pointed out on spurrier-fulmer head to head record... you don't want a rundown of player arrest records? keep your players in line better. as much as i hate espn, they're just doing their job showin our police records

I was fed up with seeing the Stat of Fulmer going 8-3against Spurrier, they must have run that graphic 30 times.

To be fair, sometimes they showed is as Spurrier being 8-3 while at other times they showed Fulmer as 3-8. Seems balanced to me!

I think Tennessee fans (especially the East Tennessee variety) have to have someone or something to be paranoid about. First it was the Yanks, then the revenuers, now the ESPNers.

I am chagrined that I must point this out, but for the record, I was being fecetious/sarcastic with my remark and was actually agreeing with hatvol. C'mon people...my conspiracy theory is all in fun; I'm confident hat picked this up immediately.

That's strange. A huge portion of voters had already sent in their ballots before the UM-OSU game. Apparently they thought Woodson played some pretty good football against other teams.

They were wrong and hatevol is wrong. Champ Bailey at Georgia was much better and played against stronger competition in the SEC. His stats were better too. Although Bailey was not even the best player in the SEC. The Heisman is supposed to be given to the best player in the country.... not a player from the No. 1 team.... see 1956 for reference.

Face it, the voter from around the country could not stomach to give a quarterback from the SEC the award 2 years in a row.

Let it go. It was 10 years ago. Yes peyton was robbed but, to be this angry about it a decade later seems strange to me.

Yes, and the black helicopters will be descending on Neyland Stadium soon and the national media has a vendetta against UT. More stat worshipping. How surprising.

:) You always give me the laugh of the day.... you are like my wife, never wrong. We should all stop worshipping facts and bow down before the all powerful hatevol. :devilsmoke: You are my master. I am writing you in on my ballot next week for Gov. of Tennessee.

If you want to worship stats, Randy Moss should have won the Heisman in '97.

If she's disputing what you say, your wife most likely is never wrong.

I think it's interesting that Notre Dame has won more Heistman trophies than the entire SEC.

It's also interesting that BAMA has never had a winner in all of its glory, nor TN.

If you look at the concentration of winners you'll see a trend following the major market areas.

The award is flawed anyway.
