Especially since we lost to NC in such a weird manner they had to create a new rule to make sure it didnt happen again. Offensive penalty lead to a retry kick that was good.

Ah the good ole Dooley era, 13 men on defense, not even having someone back to field a punt, and shower discipline.

Again really weird flex to bring up TCU while they werent even in the same conference. You are reaching far and wide here.

Still seems bonkers they have played against the coming SEC more than they have the Big 12.

Were they in the Big 8? That was before my time so not sure what that history/set up is.

They were in the SWC but the other third of that conference (rice, SMU, etc) were never in the big 12. The conference consists of other mid major type programs now (UCF, Cincy BYU and others WVu, Kansas, Iowa St etc that Baylor has rarely played)

Yeah, they also lost Nebraska and Colorado. I guess I would keep those games under the conference they were played in at the time.

Speaking of, I wouldnt mind playing texas a little more regularly when they join the SEC so we can establish the real ut

Texas lost to Kansas, and Oklahoma we have played recently so ita not like it's new territory there. We will be fine.

Heupel's a mid-major coach just like Butch and Dooley were. Heupel's agent just found someone crazy enough to write a big check.

History says we should be playing for the SEC every three to four years. We should win it every other time we play in it. Every other time we win it we should play for an NC. Every other time we play for an NC we should win it. Using four years that's a 32 year cycle.

We are a good bit off our averages, but the correction to the mean should be fun for us. And we still have time to fire 2 more coaches before our NC "should" be, so crazy things could still be ahead.

We went from the 100s in total offense to top 10, number 1 in some categories. Our defense even improved as well from the low 60s to the high 40s. Not too bad considering how long they were on the field. Recruiting is stepping up and for the first time since 2008 we have both of our coordinators returning. We seemed to have figured out this NIL thing too.

I dont believe Heupel will have us even in the playoffs, but for once we seem to be moving in the right direction.

We can rule football out so what did you get yours in? Ours are:

1-MBB
1-Mens Tennis (finished 2nd to UF last season)
2-WBB

Acrobatics & Tumbling, and Equestrian are too numerous to list.

Football isn’t out. We have won two in the last 100 years and 6 overall. We also have 17 other NCs in multiple sports. You have 5 (one with asterisk bc of Covid) in your whole history which is the same as Vanderbilt lol.
I bet your tumbling “team” is good as many girls that has to get away from all the rapists there

Ok let’s discuss “this century” from just 2000,

2000-2021:
Tennessee is 156-119, 7-7 in bowls, with 41 wins over top 25 teams and 11 top 25 rankings

Baylor is 131-138, 6-5 in bowls, with 17 wins over top 25 teams and 7 top 25 rankings

So during our worst stretch in our program’s history and your best (even with a pillow easy schedule that you have) we STILL have been better 😂😂😂

First loser? It means Tennessee is better than Baylor and consistently is, you tried to brag about it but even this century we are better than you are lol. And we will always be a better program who will be one of the chosen programs and winners. While you are still a midmajor with small fanbase , small stadium and a reputation as a rape factory while never actually winning anything

Everyone is chasing the national championship (at least they should be). Neither team has sniffed it this century but Baylor has come closer to making the playoffs (no playoffs, no national championship chances). As it stands right now Baylor has the better chance of making the playoffs.

When Oklahoma and Texas leave, the BIG XII will remain a P5 conference but Tennessee's chances of making the playoffs will become even harder. 9 wins ain't getting you in no matter who you beat. You think a 9 win fifth place SEC team will get in over a ten win Boise State team with a conference championship under their arm?

The big xii will not be a P5 conference in 10 years. Hell the MWC is stronger. Once Kansas leaves for Big Ten and okla St and Tx Tech leave for P12, it’ll be even worse.

We already have been better than Baylor since 2000 and got closer to the NC game in 2001 than Baylor ever will to a playoff game and we are respected in a real conference and will always have a shot. Baylor can’t even get to .500 this century.
