ESPN FPI: Texas Is Back...AGAIN πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

The big xii will not be a P5 conference in 10 years. Hell the MWC is stronger. Once Kansas leaves for Big Ten and okla St and Tx Tech leave for P12, it’ll be even worse.
Just so much wrong in this. Factor out Oklahoma and Texas and the BIG XII still draws more eyeballs than the ACC and the PAC. TV networks determine how many power conferences there will be. When the next round of TV contracts are negotiated there will also be new big money players looking for their piece of the college football pie.

College Football on the west coast has been in a death spin for years with no foreseeable way out. Oklahoma State and Texas Tech don't have the academics that most PAC 12 institutions are looking for Tech and OSU have seen what has happened to other BIG XII teams that have left behind their traditional recruiting grounds...it ain't pretty. The only chance that Tech and the Cowboys had was as a package deal with Oklahoma and Texas.

Kansas has the academics that the BIG is looking for and yet have already been rejected at least once. Kansas brings no football money or eyeballs to the table and basketball doesn't bring enough money to the table. Kansas would become a net taker of money and an unnecessary mouth for the BIG to feed.

You are just barely correct based on the numbers that have Texas and Oklahoma in them for the 2021.

The new Big 12 will have a total of 10.784. Yall had 3 games with over 4 million views. They were OK state vs Oklahoma, gone, texas vs Oklahoma, gone, and Oklahoma vs Nebraska, gone. Losing Ok and Texas will lose more than their direct numbers, because they bolstered the rest of the conference. With your two top draws gone the sexiness of the overall games drop.

The "dead" PAC 12, was right behind the new Big 12 with 10.139 million views. But 4 4 million games.

The ACC is way behind with 7.89 million, but (3) 4 million view games.

And FWIW Oklahoma and Texas combined for more than 5 million views. So they accounted for at least a third of the eyes drawn to the Big 12. And if you add all four new teams together they fall between Oklahoma and Texas.

Losing Texas hurts because of all the t-shirt fans without a doubt. Texas and Michigan always get the best Nike deals because they bring the most eyeballs to the table. Hell, Texas even got their own TV deal from ESPN because of the potential eyeballs they bring to the table. Having said all of that it will be interesting as to how UCF will market itself in the future.

The Knights have the largest enrollment in the country and are the second best team in the third most populous state and Florida is still growing. UCF is in a position to overtake UF in Florida and beating them and also winning the fight in the bowl game this last season doesn't hurt their cause.

UCF needs to put more distance between themselves and FSU and Miami. Large, young alumni base with disposable income doesn't hurt their cause either. Market themselves as the "New U" and then let the chips fall where they may.

It looks like UCF already has Baylor speed on offense now they need to get it on defense too.

β€œUcf is in a position to overtake Florida” πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ let me guess you also think Baylor has more fans and money than Texas or A&M too right?

You would guess wrong my friend but we can beat them on the football field. Can you?

Yes we beat them 33% of the time we have played them. You beat them 28% of the time.
Call me when A&M shows up to play Wake. πŸ˜‚πŸ€£
You do understand that the SEC picks which school plays in which bowl right? A&M wasn't chosen to play us in the Sugar Bowl because the SEC office had no confidence in the aggys and rightfully so. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

Um that’s not how it works. Jesus you can tell you are so clueless about big time athletics but then again most midmajors are. But tell us again how UCF is going to pass Florida and FSU and Miami in power and fandom in Florida πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Ten years ago people would have said the same about UCF compared to FSU and Miami too. Last year's bowl game is only a one year sample but that sample still exists.

They have already passed FSU and Miami. FU will be be tougher but still obtainable.

They still do. Ucf is a directional school midmjaor nothing more

And UCF beat them in the game and then beat them in the fight too. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ€£
A game that Florida had no coach and the players didn’t care about? Lol congrats. UConn and La Monroe and Liberty beat Baylor so that must mean they passed you right
