He does fine when he's calling our games, I'm certain he couldn't pull his emotions to the side last night.Bilas, who was the best college basketball analyst in the game by far, has become absolutely obnoxious. He bought into his own hype and has become such a Duke homer he has ruined his credibility.
Yeah, I'm genuinely perplexed what "terrible officiating" they're referring to. The 2 early ones on Plavsic were called as was the later high elbow. Aidoo no-call on the inadvertent elbow during rebound was correct. There have been poorly officiated games. This was not it.Duke is a huge part of their business model. Their bread & butter. They’re protecting the cash cow. Look, most of this boxing match talk hinges on the 2 bumps by Plavvy early on, and he was called for both. Nothing to see here.

The only egregious miss I remember was over-turning Roach's 5th foul. Vescovi was also getting held and slapped all game, but only called once.
Watching or listening to any of the sports shows on any network is a waste of time. Networks hire for a combination of looks, entertainment value, willingness to follow the script, ethnicity, personal network, and, very last, relevant experience. You'll literally always find better commentary on the web.I checked the feeds on Reddit. Complaints about officiating--yes (of course). Complaints that it was terribly officiated or that was the reason TN won--no. The general concensus (even from a lot of Duke fans) was TN was great and their physicality and defense was smothering. Even "non-experts" interpreted the game better than these "experts" who get paid millions.
