ESPN says Texas A&M, Mizzou, Clemson, FSU to join SEC

And for the millionth time, Vandy isn't going anywhere unless they choose to; they cannot be "dropped".

I'm not about to read all 22 pages of this thread so thanks for the quote. I'd rather have OU and OSU than Clemson and FSU but geographically it doesn't really make sense to add 4 western teams.

well and part of the reality of it is, while a lot of people really like OU from a toughness/difficulty/chest-pound standpoint.....you really, really...really don't want okSt... They really are not worth the baggage that comes with bringing them

After a minute of thought..Oklahoma and OSU would probably rather go to the Pac-12. If Oklahoma joins the SEC their storied history will be just that, history. No more 10-wins guaraneed.

Then again... it would be nice to add OU, OSU, A&M, Mizz and FSU. We might have to drop Vandy but I don't think anyone would mind. Pretty sure Kimbrow would rethink his decision.

They will never kick Vandy out because they were one of the original members of the conference.I like the way you think tho.

Pac-12 is the most likely destination. SEC and B1G want no part of Okie State.

North Carolina has no football following compared to Clemson. Your comparison with Tulane is as stupid as ive heard on this board.

It has a lot more to do with TV markets than it does football followings. Would you rather have the Greenville/Asheville market or the Raleigh market?

I can understanding wanting UNC, but they - like the rest of the NC schools - unfortunately aren't going to be budging

No one outside of South Carolina gives a rat's ass about Clemson.

The SEC already has a large share of the South Carolina market thanks to the Cocks.

The SEC doesn't want any part of Clemson. They bring no competitive teams or any additional revenue.

It also has to do with markets that have a football fans who will watch the games. Just because there are alot of people in one area doesn't mean that its a good market. You have to find a certain demographic...football fans.An area where there is a huge gay population is not a viable market for the SEC, however its perfect for the Big 10 and the Pac10.

You don't know what you are talking about. They are already reporting that Clemson is likely to join the SEC. If the SEC didnt want them they wouldnt bring them in. Clemson is also a very wealthy school. There is money to be had there. Just because you dont like Clemson doesnt mean that you speak for the SEC. I dont like Clemson but I get the fact that they would add something to this league.

Clemson is a charter member of the ACC. Why do so many people assume that it would jump but no one else will?
