Anybody who is hating on the idea that Florida St. is coming is a retard. I know we already have a market in the state of Florida, but FSU is coming back as an elite team. They won't just bolster the SEC in football, but also in basketball and baseball as well. The SEC is the super conference.
It had nothing to do with performance. It's about who can increase the SEC's revenue. FSU cannot do that. Bringing in a slightly above average Missouri team would bring in greater revenue than an "elite" FSU.
Florida St. is borderline elite. Texas A&M is very good. Mizzou has been good for a few years now, and Clemson is an above average team. I like the additions.
This guy makes the argument.Makes sense
I would like to see Baylor

Other than ACC sports and SEC football, WoadBlue a fan of the Tour de France, the French Open, and hurling (Ireland's biggest team sport).
Is this thing going downhill really fast and no one is coming.

Thats my fault. I was being a smartass to someone when I mentioned those teams. Yes like I stated 20 minutes ago I understand all about getting teams with large markets, and most of those teams are successful. If the SEC goes out and grabs FSU and Clemson, yes the SEC already has teams in their states but you take two of the most popular teams from a neighboring conference and completely occupy those two states.(nobody gives a rats ass about the U of Miami unless you have alot of felonies). You have increased the revenues of the league.
Gotcha Caveman, good deal.
Hell to the NO for Baylor.
This is much like a big time recruit, we'll hear they're committed to both conferences up until the deadline. At which point aTm and TxU will announce a two team semi-independent conference and a 'everything's bigger in Texas Television Network'.
