Ethan Wolf is a Vol

I don't know why everyone is giving fade grief when he's just giving his opinion. I might not agree with it but I don't make countless posts about his opinion being wrong. It's just an opinion and I'm not quite sure why there has to be a "right" opinion.

I will say that it's a position of need so it's a good pick-up.

With that being said how many more TE's do we pick up for this class?
Simple. It's because there are times when it truly is best to keep your opinions to yourself. Including, but not limited to, a high school junior's thread on a chat board, just hours after he has committed the next four years of his life for the University you claim to be a fan of.

I knew fade route wouldn't be happy with the pick up. The guy has his whole senior year to pick up scholarships. Watch his film or something, good Lord.

Wolf can play, great size, great hands. He and Dobbs will destroy your logic

<------- Waiting for the NCAA to come in and say the "commitment brick" is an "improper benefit" and make each recruit cough up $4.

Wouldn't surprise me.

Brick idea is awesome, by the way. If not already, they should be for sale in the University Center bookstore.

Why don't you just go find a brick somewhere around your house and make your own?

The star upgrade wouldn't change my opinion very much, but certainly I'm open to re-evaluating a kid when his offer list improves. With scholly limits these days, schools can't waste offers, so I tend to put more weight into offer lists than star ratings. There are exceptions.

He was rated a 4 star on Scout and 24/7 and he got a late offer from Michigan according to their board. Does that help any?

I'm with fade on this one. I'm all for welcoming a new recruit, but don't shoot off the BOOM sticks unless its a highly touted 4* or a 5*, ie a Marquez North or Jalen Hurd. Kinda like rushing the field for winning 7 games after beating KY, IMO.

If you can't respect a young man for wanting to give his all for UT then gtfo. BRICK BY BRICK.

Just watched his video highlight reel. This guy is a great pickup IMO! He catches the ball extremely well. Keeps blocking down the field and doesn't give up on the play. Coach him up and he's got big time potential!

Just like any other kid. He's got potential or the coaches wouldn't be after him. Bring him in to the collegiate setting with the facilities we have and coaching?? and they guy will be a great get. #4 in the ranks at this point, and I know star gazing isn't the best/most determining factor, but damn...look where we were last year and the last several years at this point. I'll take it all day long. GBO!

got the skinny on Wolf from a coach friend in SW Ohio that actually saw him play his sophomore year. Has followed him his junior year on film because he thinks he is a star in the making. He called me to tell me the news because he thought it was huge. He told me the kid is absolutely hands down the best "TRUE" TE in the Midwest and a top 5 TE in the country. He is a legit 6-6" 240 not like so many other recruits who tell stories on their measurables. He is a 3 sport star so his upside when CBJ gets a hold of him is frightening. Big, tough, high character guy who can catch, run, block and again after reading his articles on all the sites he is indeed a class act. I guess he brought in the brick and that is so cool.
I am a graduate student and new to this but man the guy that has issues with a guy like this coming from a talent rich state like Ohio is a huge win for CBJ. My buddy also told me OSU is recruiting just receiving TE's and don't look for that complete 3 tool TE that can do it all. I mentioned the star ratings and all of that and he laughed and said that Wolf is suddenly a better player in a month when the new ratings come out and he goes to a 4 star in rivals? He is a 4 star #7 in the country by Scout so what gives? What we have here is a top 10 talent in the country at the very minimum to a program that is trying to win again from a State that holds its talent in the Big Ten. This IMO is a bigger win than getting in state 4 star talent to stay and play for their school in the SEC. I was also told that if he committed he will not decommit for any reason because he hears he is a high high character guy from a solid family.

Go get em Wolf.....you sound like a winner on and off the field!!

Your opinion sucks you sucky negavol *****.

You're part of the problem that got us in this mess in the first place.

Are you serious?

It's the fault of "negavols" that the program is where it's at?
Fulmer, Hamilton, Kiffin, and Dooley are all innocent victims of the negavolnation.

Jesus Christ man get a grip.

we gotta make the brick our trademark, maybe bring bricks to the games and toss them on the field every time we score.

I trust Butch's evaluation of this guy because he has good history with poaching and developing good TE's like Kelce last year at Cinci.

Nice big target that will become a good target for Mr. Dobbs!
