Perhaps you shouldn't correct the way dude spelled something then incorrectly use the word giving. Personally I'm interested in this. I won't believe it till I see it. But my wife is an ETSU grad. So we keep up with things going on up there.

And yes this is a UT board, but it's not your damn board. So if you don't like the thread isn't it just as easy for you to overlook it?
My wife is also an ETSU grad. We agreed on something the other day, AND we now have something in common.

I continually wonder just how many abysmal years UT football has to suffer until these Fulmer haters will see the mistake that was made. It is looking like there are a lot of people on this board that just have some kind of Football Fan Mental Disorder.
It consists of:

1. Unrealistic expectations
2. Poor insight into their abnormally negative emotional status.
3. Lack of respect for others who deserve respect for their sports accomplishments
4. Inability say good things about their sports superiors
5. No appreciation for donuts
6. No appreciation for winning coaches
7. Inability to keep their stupidity to themselves.

I appreciate Fulmer, miss him as our coach and see the folly of our ways in firing him.
So if you have FFMD, time to attack me because the thing you hate most is the truth.

No chance is hell. Where would you put an outdoor facility at ETSU? Where would the funding come from? Darr.

UT via the Fulmer buyout...

And, on a serious note, I could see them converting the soccer field into a multipurpose outdoor stadium.

I dont know anything about it or even if remotely possible, but I think Fulmer would be great at raising funds and has tons of great friends like Thunder and the Mannings among many important people in the state that would likely support him and the cause. Again, I don't know, just speculating

You mad? I don't find it interesting because PF is old news & if he goes there to coach...hey, look that's great. I guess there are fans that still love PF & what he did for the program. Just leave it there & let it go. Talk to your ETSU friends about it on tweeter of what conference you end up. Nobody cares about that conference in general. This is a TN Vols board not ETSU news board.

Odd post is odd. If you don't like it, then don't read it. There are plenty of people who care. It's relevant to a UT board because that is the second winningest coach in the schools history. My question for you is why do you care so much if it's posted? It's the offseason anyway.

We also strongly disagreed on something the other day. But it's important to remember me disagreeing with you doesn't mean I dislike you. That's not even the case.

What percent of your posts on VN are in regards Fulmer?

I read quite a bit on this the other day... About them bringing back football, tearing down the mini dome, etc...I was buying the possibility of Fulmer going there until a couple of their fans went full retard and started discussing Bruce Pearl coaching their hoops team. And no I'm not joking.

I don't know anything about hiring Fulmer but as for the rest, ETSU is bringing back football and they are building a new outdoor stadium on campus. They are increasing the student fees 125 dollars a semster and funding raising for funding.

As a current ETSU student, Fulmer is the only person imo who could pull off making ETSU football relevant again. There just is not enough local support for ETSU athletics. Unless they find some way to schedule the games around UT's schedule, no one will show up. Just like when they had football before. They killed it for a reason. Not to mention now that Butch Jones is recruiting the DB kids and presumably the best local talent as well, idk where the players are going to come from.

BUT if they get Fulmer in there, he just MIGHT be able to recruit well enough and get this thing rolling in the right direction.

What killed it was a President who hated football and a tennis coach promoted to AD to carry out the plan. Add playing in the mini dome with terrible sight lines and it just generally sucked.

As for not being able to recruit because of UT, lol no. The two schools would be going after totally different players, the kids ETSU would want from D-B or Science Hill probably wouldn't be walkons at UT.

If true, how freakin' ironic would it be if Chavis saw this as the perfect opportunity to come back to East Tennessee, as Phil's DC again?

The reason that you strongly disagreed with me the other day was because I think that you misunderstood my point. I was trying to illustrate the absurdity of the situation. My point was that we should all be color blind, and that I am not in favor of quotas. If you are , then we have to agree to disagree.

Remember, I said that if we had 100 American Indians on the football team, and 2 Mexican, 5 black, and 3 Asians coaching, that I would be fine with that if they are the best at their jobs.

My point was that the players at those high schools who are capable of playing at the next level will most likely go to UT. See Foreman and Swafford. The rest of them aren't good enough to make etsu competitive. Jmo.

There can be no reasonable argument Tennessee is better off now than with Fulmer. Hopefully, we will be back to where we were in a couple of years.

The basketball coaching job should have went to George Pitts the day that DeChellis left for Penn State.

Makes sense, you know, because I always seem to click on threads that I find no interest in...
