Smh. If that’s it then this shouldn’t be much of anything

I hope for his sake it is nothing......but it all depends on how violently he did it or if it was just a "get your attention" slap.....goes back to the ole saying...."never strike your child in anger"......

Maybe or maybe the kid should’ve been paying attention and do what he was supposed to and Sanders wouldn’t have had to get his attention

RUMOR around JC and I REPEAT RUMOR is that he may have hit a player, but it's a RUMOR at this point. I saw it being discussed by a couple on a BUC football board.

Reminds me of when Woody Hayes punched a Clemson player in the gut because he tackled one of his players during a Bowl game a few years ago.

Or, you know, just don’t strike somebody in the head and you won’t get in trouble. Seems like an easy solution

My basketball coach in high school, and this was only about 6 years ago, used to kick us in the chest to practice taking charges. And this is happening over a slap on the helmet? Comical

Again that’s what is being reported. I doubt this was some gentle slap if what is being stated is true. Most of the time it’s not something small

ETSU will provide video to back up a dismissal OR CRS will provide to prove that it is "nothing".....

When I played in HS it happened all the time. Coach would tell me some phrase like "get your head out of your ***" then smack the crap out of me. Nobody cared and I still don't.

I never played football, but I played basketball. I screwed up an inbounds play to end the half that led to a dunk for the other team. At halftime my coach reemed me out something awful and then threw a dry erase marker across the room at me that hit my shoulder . I took it, I was only 15 at the time, but teammates were coming up to me asking me how I wasn’t crying after that complete ass chewing. I’ll never forget that. Didn’t commit the same mistake the rest of the season.

So it was only smacking a helmet?? Jeez!!

Not really a Sanders fan but its getting a little ridiculous!

Jones put Black Stripes on helmets! Would now be arrested for assault, racism, and Civil Rights Violations!!:blink:

Unbelievable!!

Football is a high speed collision sport and a kid is complaining about being slapped on the head by his coach and the coach’s job is in jeopardy.

Just imagine the trouble a coach could get himself into for suggesting that a player get out in front of and stop a hard charging running back.

My football coach used to hit us in the helmet with his ring hand. My ears are still ringing. Hit us with balls and tossed us around WWE style.
