Everybody seems unhappy that we beat Florida.

What is this? We have like 3 wins in the last 19 games against Florida? Something close to that? And some fans are so unhappy that it feels like we lost? Or is it that you didn't cover your bet and you lost money? I think we were favored by more than a TD. Well, I really have NO sympathy for you. Me, I loved the win and will all year. Enjoy your betting.

Stupid thread. I haven't seen anyone who is unhappy that we beat Florida.

No plenty are unhappy. Mainly cause they don't understand football is a one week season each Saturday. They think how you play one week will necessarily translate to the next. So they're assuming that because Florida isn't very good then us struggling with them means we're not good either. This folks seem to get amnesia every week cause anyone who knows anything about football knows the transitive property doesn't work. Alabama can beat Georgia one week and lose to Vandy the next. Which is why you should never be unhappy about winning an SEC game.

Not to nitpick, but you said everybody is unhappy that we won -- not unhappy with the way we played, mistakes we made, QB play, overall offensive execution, etc. Not only is "everybody" a gross exaggeration, but to say that anyone is actually unhappy with the win is silly, IMO.

I think you know what he meant.

So many football fans are delusional but it seems our fanbase has and extra helping of them.

Was it pretty? It was not.
Was it a win. It was

We have one of the best, most loyal fanbases in the country. There is nothing extra negative about our fans. All teams in all sports have fans who react negatively when their team doesn't live up to their expectations.

Not me. I’m ecstatic.
We just beat Florida. Again.
And next week we are going to beat Bama. Again.

I suspect some of the disappointment you see is from those who lost money gambling.
Yes. I mentioned that. Losing money they don't have always makes a person unhappy. There are still some people here that don't understand why some of the older fans consistently say "don't bet on Tennessee". There is a reason.

I think it has to do with the fact that if you don't make the playoffs, the postseason is pointless. All the top players opt out. Thanks to the Arkansas catastrophe, we are one loss from being eliminated from playoffs.

It’s not that, trust me I’m thrilled that we pulled it off but to act like we don’t have serious problems on offense is crazy because we are supposed to be competing for a conference championship and when Alabama and Georgia beat us we are headed to another useless bowl game. It’s just super disappointing that we have an elite defense and now the offense sucks. If we had an offense that could at least score thirty points, we’d go undefeated. We can’t stop holding and killing drives. Go Vols!

People are and will be all over the place. There are those that think we can and do no wrong. That think we will blow every team on the schedule out.

Then there's those that complain about everything. Mad about this and that. The team sucks. The coaches suck. Everything sux.

Then there's those that are happy with Wins but are very hesitant to feel any confidence in this team after what we've witnessed the last 2 games. Thrilled with a win like last night, but know good and well that a performance like last week and last night are not always going to result in a win and could easily lose 2-4 more games playing like that.

The only time in my life when I was in the first category was when I was a kid.

Now as an adult I'm sandwiched somewhere between the latter 2. Overreact sometimes but also try to enjoy the fact that we are miles ahead of where we once were. I think what's most frustrating for me though, is here we are coming in to this season with some momentum in JHs tenure, and UGA and Bama both are not what they've been and we have taken a step back on offense from even last year and appear that we're going to blow a golden opportunity at making the playoff this year If we don't get better in a hurry.

Yep. We're at least going to be bowl eligible due to UTEP later in the year. Gotta say our remaining schedule doesn't contain a sure win outside of UTEP. Bama, UGA, Miss St, UK and Vandy all look like they'll be very capable of taking UT down.

Bro,

Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Florida have been PATHETIC offensive performances.

Nico has thrown 1 TD in those past 3 games with a bye week sandwiched between.

So yes one week has actually TURNED INTO THREE and why it would it stop????

Happy they proved me wrong and beat Florida, but still very concerned about the offense (minus Sampson) moving forward.

I always know UF is gonna be a close game no matter the spread or rankings. That’s just the way it always is. I was there, it was electric, and we beat the Gators! Nonsense thread!!
