Evina Comment

Well, if she'd talked to Fulmer, she probably would have been told what everybody else has been told-- that he's going to evaluate the situation and see what needed to be done after the season. So she could have respected what the AD has said all season and she could have respected the trust her university put in her by allowing her to speak to the media after a hard loss. I mean, the season hadn't even been over an hour. Give the AD a chance to respond.
Maybe she was privately told something that was different in addition to the current public stance.

Girl just speaking her mind on what SHE has seen up close in practices and game planning. So to me what she says is more plausible than what some jack leg on the outside looking in has to say. Holly needs to go!!!!!!

Yeah I saw that too. Lobo and Landers as well seem to have the coaches back. They kind of put down Evina.
🙄

Talk about inappropriate. Where were all these people after every game when Holly blamed everything on the players? So tired of all this defense of Holly. She didn’t do her job, but she’s a nice person. There are nice people fired every day because they couldn’t do their job. Why is she more special than others? Why is she more important than the whole Lady Vol basketball program? You can talk smack about all the 19 and 20 year olds constantly, but god forbid one of those kids says the slightest thing negative. Plus the so called outrage is based on what people are inferring from her words, not the exact words that came out of her mouth.

Yeah my thought is, "if you don't want the answer don't ask the question."

I'm sure all three of them would love for Tennessee to keep her and the program continues to regress and eventually fade into obscurity. Two of them have ties to Georgia and the other with Uconn.

I've said it before and I will say it again. Lobo, Landers, Maria Taylor, Dawn Staley, etc. all want Holly to stay at TN forever. They are perfectly happy with
the downward trajectory that we've been on since Holly took the helm.

They didn't defend Holly, they said it isn't the players' job to decide who the coach should be. There's an administration for that. And I agree. If I were a coach and they offered me the gig, I'd think twice before coming to a situation where the players think they get to make administrative decisions.

Not disagreeing & I think Holly should be gone, however if Evina and the rest could make layups and stop throwing the ball away, we would have many more wins this season. Coaches coach, players have to execute!

The dilemma is coaching. The players keep turning the ball over because of the coach. 🤔

What she did doesn't help us whatsoever.

yeah she really screwed up our championship season huh. do you think holly blaming everything on the players
while taking ZERO responsibility for anything helps either? I don't blame Evina in the least. At least she says something
instead of just "aw shucks we just need to play better" year after year.

Coaches will always defend fellow head coaches even if what the player says is true.

Some don't

The reason you all support what she said is because you don't like Holly and want her gone. Otherwise you would admit that it's disrespectful.

It was honest, emotional and unrehearsed....Not disrespectful

What did she say. Evina was asked what needs to change for next season; she said off court stuff and the Staff (technically that could be anyone from the HC to conditioning coaches).

Before the question was asked, was there any doubt that something need to change in the staff?

In the moment of another disappointing loss, when the players have realized how poorly they were prepped for this game do you really want another "we just need to work harder" response.

When asked if Holly would be coaching here next season, Evina said "I don't know." Given the circumstances, is that response not an honest and reasonable assessment of the situation?

If being honest and reasonable is deemed to be "disrepectful" perhaps the problems lies not in the messenger (i.e. Evina) but the toxic system she is being ASKED to comment on.

Westbrook is just Angry at Holly for telling her to commit 12 Turnovers in the last two games.
