F Florida

Florida is the measuring stick in my opinion. I know my opinion holds zero weight. I'm just a fan. But I have felt like we have had better or at least comparable teams to them in recent years and still got shell shocked. It's a huge mental hurdle to beat them. I'll only believe we can beat them when we have more points than they do after four quarters. Please let that happen this year. I don't ask for much. Well I used to, but the naked Jennifer Lawrence pics were leaked. So now I just ask for a UF win.

I think the answer around VolNation, especially as of late, should have been, " We gonna whip both da azzes!"

"Well Hell yeah Keck...Butch is gonna slap them azzes my friend...for lots of cash and a G5....no more frequent flyer b!0tch miles for our Volunteers! VolNation wants some goodies...well welcome to the Goody Room!"

Who's the idiot that thinks it's in Tennessee's best interest to beat Oklahoma instead of Florida?

Get off your perch and get used the Florida version of Dooley. Some team had to take our place in the cellar. Glad it's the Gators.

How am I an idiot? FL's not even ranked...they were 4-8 last year. Recruits wouldn't look at that as a great win. The country would def think Tennesee is back if we beat a top 5 team away rather than an unranked poorly coached Gator team at Neyland. Get real?!

It would certainly turn more heads to beat Oklohoma. I understand the vital conference win but nationally, OK woould be a higher Quality win. However, For the sake of Tennessee fans I think it's better to beat FL. That's what I originally said...
A win in the SEC is a great win

I can't fathom an OU win. I can see UF going down this year. Both would be nice, but I just don't see it.

It has nothing to do with who the better team is. I would not try to argue Florida is better than Oklahoma.

I was asked today if I would rather see us beat Oklahoma or Florida? I said Florida immediately. So sick of losing to them...I know it would be in our best interest to pull a massive upset in Norman but I just want to see FL go down. I think a FL win is a more realistic goal too. What do you guys think?

How about both? Butch believes!

If we were to beat Oklahoma...and THEN lose to Florida?...we'd have to start thinking it's ingrained in our body chemistry. :disappointed:

I'm afraid I already do Butch....sadly, I already do.

I for one do not think you are an idiot. I think you have it correct! A big win in Norman get us lots of national spotlight! That spotlight brings more recruitment attention. That being said any VOL fan hates the Gators and a win against them would be huge conference wise and for the fans!

On a national stage, for us to go into Norman and upset that little applecart or wagon or whatever they call it would be sweet. Stoops, with his Florida connections and all is one of my least favorite coaches. He and Must Chomp are two pees in a pod.
The average Oklahoma fan is better than any Florida fan. I was in a bar on the Riverwalk in San Antonio last year when Texas kicked Oklahoma's butt in the RRR. Several Oklahoma fans were there and they were disappointed, but basically said that Texas outplayed them and deserved to win. You would never hear that from a Gator fan.So, hell yes I would rather beat Florida.:dance2:

I would rather beat Florida if I had to chose. Beating Oklahoma would give UT huge exposure for a week. Losing to UF the next week would be a major let down that derailed any positive beating The Sooners created. Florida is our main rival in the SEC East and they have owned us for quite a while now. If Tennesse beats them this year they serve notice that we are on the way back up and UF is in a downward spiral. Winning in Norman would be a feel good moment but you have to follow it up with another win or people will say it was a fluke. You beat Florida and break the streak...the sense of UT>UF sticks.

It would be best to just beat both of them but I'm not making that bet.

Isn't the Florida game later this year...or is that next year? To Google I run! :gone:
