Or some attempt at uniformity in officiating would be nice.. I would argue many games this year would have turned out differently given what officiating crew shows up (not just us).. it’s starting to look really ridiculous with the inconsistency.. totally agreeHow about make them full time with training and educate them with repercussions if you ***** suck at your job ? That would be a gigantic start
Ok guy im truly not a conspiracy type. Think most are bs. However the amount of money college football makes and the amout of people that bet on it is absolutely insane. I have watched officiating and game play as whole decline rapidly since covid. We had fixed games in pro sports and officials who knew how to sway a game and got away with it for a long ass time. To completely dismiss it is freaking stupid.
I dont know if it's true or not either. I hope it isn't because kids are being cheated if it is around the country in all sports. However a society and the amount of money that can be made from having a lack of integrity never shocks me anymore. Dirty refs have been a thing since the beginning when big money wasnt on theline. It is certainly interesting. I don't even think the government wants to dig into College athleticsI don’t know it to be true, I just don’t find your accusations to be as far fetched as others.
If you have the power and clout to control something like refs, the NCAA, Vegas, etc, and can do it by just a call here and there, so wide spread over refs across the country, while not being so obvious everyone can tell…if you’re that good…guess what? You can make a $&%# ton MORE money in a thousand different ways than that.Do you think it not possible that Vegas could be?
Serious question, I’m not trying to be a smart@$$.
This I agree with. The guy that was busted in the NBA swayed games and he was thought to be one of the best. Think Homeplate umps arent on the take ? Except now they are graded and can be challenged by computers. I am not suggesting that reviewing potential penalties needs to be a thing but at least reprimand those that are continually bad and remove them from the field of play permanently after so many. You have good ones
You have ignorant ones
You have bias dirty ones
Just like politicians and lawyers…….
I think it is obvious in some ways things are side ways in the way games are officiated. In all sports not just UT football. I also think it is more so in the college games. Specifically in games of interest. I just think it is crazy to completely rule it outIf you have the power and clout to control something like refs, the NCAA, Vegas, etc, and can do it by just a call here and there, so wide spread over refs across the country, while not being so obvious everyone can tell…if you’re that good…guess what? There’s a lot of conspiracy theories that have a lot of intriguing snipits to consider…this ain’t one.

If a NBA ref can fix games, it would be naive think it couldn’t happen in college football. If you have the power and clout to control something like refs, the NCAA, Vegas, etc, and can do it by just a call here and there, so wide spread over refs across the country, while not being so obvious everyone can tell…if you’re that good…guess what? If it isn't avove the NBA I certainly don't think the NCAA money grab sob's are of a higher standard. How long they been exploiting kidsI don’t think it’s completely crazy.
However, I can’t see the NCAA being that stupid to let something like this go on behind the scenes but I’ve been wrong before.
