I left with about 8 minutes to go. It was HOT. I started noticing people leaving about mid 3rd quarter.

Again, fans at the game have little to say about people leaving early but those that didn't leave their homes today are complaining.

I wasn't there, but I was outside this morning. It was incredibly muggy and hot. I bet it was horribly uncomfortable inside the stadium with no breeze.

Understandable. It's hard for people who live out of town to make it in every week. Take it from me though, like others said, it's hard to blame anyone for leaving a little early today. The humidity absolutely sucked.

I was in section O...In the sun all day. There were several people around me that did pass out. EMS had to come help escort them out. It was so hot I even started to feel light headed - I toughed it out though...GBO.

they should've put more effort into it. To buy tickets, drive in, sit in the heat and leave after passing out is weak

Want fans to stay? Keep them in the game. I rarely leave, good or bad, but if the team acts done, that's when the thought enters...

Weak? Passing out or having heat stroke isn't weak.. Ever think the person might have a true medical condition but by George they come to the games. When its hot. Humid and no breeze, it can be horrible but people were there. Geesh.. Weak..wrong!

I went to the game with my son, left with 7 minutes to go in the game. Why? Mainly the fact that the heat and humidity were so bad that we simply couldnt take it anymore. This was about the most humid game I have ever attended. One gentleman was carried out on a stretcher near our section. As we left, there were, I kid you not, at least 7 people being attended to by staff. This included one young child who was laying on the grass, face down vomiting. Sorry guys, we tried to stay, but it was a scorcher, and we were burnt to a crisp. Hope we are STILL real Vols fans though! :blush2:

For those of you complaining that were sitting on your fluffy couches and sitting in the ac. Just stop whining now!

Had I been in Knoxville today for the game, i would have seriously considered switching from beer to Gatorade

I was in y9. I am burnt to a crisp. It was absolutely miserable. I was proud of my boy. He stayed till the end. But it was miserable

Season ticket holder and my wife and I decided to take our 3 year old son to his first game. Had no idea how long he would last but made it to the beginning of the third quarter. He had the time of his life until the heat became too much and he wanted to jump in the fountains on the river walk. He is now a volunteer for life, and we saw tons of little kids around probably having the same experience even though the families had plans to leave early (lots of kids in the fountains during 3rd quarter).

But hey go ahead and complain from your couch when you probably thought it wasn't worth driving from ATL because of the opponent.

I stayed til the last second.. but it was hot to be fair to those that left. Thought that the weather report said mostly cloudy with popup showers, and yet I look like a lobster. I never leave before the final whistle no matter the weather, score or whatever. My son wanted to leave early, but I made him stay with threats that I would not take him to the Florida game if he left before the end of the game.:)

Left just after the 4th quarter started, drove straight to Children's Hospital and spent several hours there with my daughter getting an IV. Hope that's ok.

Wow, harbourvol, sure hope your daughter is doing better. I can see where she'd need that IV,,,,, I'm on medications that make me whoozy but I hung in there too.... Hugs to your daughter! Some people just don't get it... We were all there!!!
