Fauci-gate

I will say, I wonder how many died after contracting covid after wearing a cloth mask? Has anyone asked this question?
Funny you should ask:

The CDC reported "frequency of mask wearing" in their COVID patient metrics for a very brief time at the start of the pandemic. The data did not suggest that masks were protective. It has not been reported since, to my knowledge. I linked those reports last year, but I don't have time to go looking back for them, right now.

Fauci was an honest broker of information in a time where not a lot was certain. Anyone who does not think that the scientists in this area were doing the best they could is just not rational. And all the while Fauci had to fend off pressure form Trump to pretend it wasn't a problem.

You want to complain he was too dismissive of the possibility it was man made? Ok, I get it. You want to be able to say Trump was right about that. Maybe in the end you will get to say that, I don't know. But I don't think you can say that Fauci was intentionally misleading people about this when the facts are so murky.

And I say that particularly to the likes of Rand Paul, as anti-China as they come, because he wants to paint Biden and the Dems as soft on China. the irony is that its such a weaksauce gimmick to try to overcome the REALITY that Trump was constantly taking it up the keister from Russia.

Not going to work.

Fauci's job was not to be a broker of information. His job was to advise the administration and when giving information to the public give all the information and be truthful. He failed on all accounts.

You post the biggest piles of bovine excrement daily.
I'm not sure if you just enjoy trolling or you actually believe the stuff you post.

Honest broker? He’s admitted to lying to the public on multiple occasions. And that doesn’t even include when he perjured himself.

He's a doctor, dealing with a poorly-understood disease.

Do doctors get things wrong? Yes. Can they be overly cautious? Yes.

You listen to their recommendations, possibly get a second opinion, and decide the extent to which you'll follow them.
Any opinions that contradicted the CDC have been claimed as lies, disinformation, and cancelled from platforms. So how are people supposed to do as you suggest? I agree with your idea but the MSM and big tech made that impossible.

Except he also works for the government. No second opinion allowed. Anyone bringing forward a second opinion was burned at the stake as a heretic for not accepting the non existent science. Even when those second opinions came with more data that Fauci himself used.

This was a doctor dealing with an unknown disease who prescribed methods and practices no doctor has ever done, with no research to back it up. And further this was a doctor with no first hand knowledge of the individuals making up this country, so your PCP angle falls way flat.

He was never following the science, he was tooting his own horn as an authority figure, and never once considered the actual science before stating his opinion as a national leader.
I loved how he would avoid questions from Congress by saying certain things weren’t in his purview only to later interject opinions about race relations in schools and more.

Blah blah blah. You are a partisan hack/shill. You can't even look at this critically. Why the hell you talking about Trump? All of this needs to be investigated. And you are seeing more and more evidence that Fauci was perhaps not an honest broker. You just refuse to even look at it. Remember when you thought Cuomo was such a great leader? You should really pause and reflect. Side note: You were praising Cuomo well after smoke about his actions were out. Perhaps this is the same? Nah couldn't be.

he admitted to intentionally misleading people about the need for masks, he admitted to intentionally misleading people about the % of the population with immunity required for herd immunity and he acknowledges that he continued to wear masks even when it was scientifically unnecessary in order to encourage people to wear masks.

The Vanity Fair article documents clearly that people in the government knowingly shut down the lab-leak theory due to multiple conflicts of interest.

The facts are right there but you ignore them to peddle your Trump theories.

Fauci said wearing a mask post vaccination wasn't theatre. Then, after the CDC updated their masking guidelines, he comes out and admits that it basically was theatre. So yes, he absolutely mislead people intentionally. Instead of acknowledging this, you get on here and scream the good ole' partisan hack talking points 'Trump! Russia!'

My thought right now is that Fauci was scared shitless that his previous support for gain of function research, and his public comments that the potential gains for humanity outweighed the risks of a pandemic, had him scrambling to cover his ass.
