So far, I have no memorable moments from the last two seasons really... ;(

In terms of performances in big games, I empathize entirely with your perspective. However, in terms of stop-start, stop-start, broken field running antics, we have had few player comparable to Cordarrelle Patterson. These highlights should make you feel a little better:

Unfortunately, it seems highly unlikely that we will see him again in a Tennessee uniform. He will make some NFL team very happy as a human highlight reel machine.

While we are on the subject of streaks, I am a little surprised that nobody mentioned the 2003 Miami game, which was one of the great defensive battles in modern college football history. We snapped Miami's 28-game home winning streak, 10-6. Here are second-half highlights from that game:

The following year, we ended Georgia's 17-game home winning streak, 19-14. For highlights of that game, see Tennessee Ends Georgia's 17 Game Home Winning Streak - 2004 - YouTube .

That reverse to Derrick Tinsley on 4th and goal was the best call Randy Sanders ever made.....

1974 Vols are tied 10-10 with Tulsa with 42 seconds left in the game. The Vol defense forces Tulsa to punt. Stanley Morgan returns the punt for a TD to win the game.

Most dramatic finish I have ever seen to a Vol game.

I remember watching the Bill Battle Show on Sunday, following that game. Stanley turned that ball up the sidelines, and he just hit another gear. He was just an orange streak. Morgan might have been the fastest, most gifted players UT has ever had.

Any great play against Bama is my favorites. Manning to Kent was the 1 I voted for. But there are so many others. Remember the 03 5OT game? That was full of amazing plays. The 96 sweep by Graham. The 95 game was the happiest day OF MY LIFE!!! I was in a group home in Nashville. They took us to a bowling alley to watch it. Ernest Fields was working at the group home I was at. Me and him were best buds. We were jumping up and down screaming the whole game. Being from Jamestown,Ernest was my first black friend. The bootleg by Manning was an euphoric feeling. I KNEW we were finally going to beat Bama for the first time in my life of watching the Vols. I was born in 80,so I barely remember the 85 Sugar Vols. After the Bama plays,it would be the Lincoln FG block in South Bend. Me&dad jumped up and down yelling for hours. One of my best memories with my dad. Then comes the OT Fla game 98 missed fg. The Ice Man&Stephens in the Swamp 01. The Hail Mary b4 the half in 03. The Wilhoit kick in 04. So many great memories of us to list. Great thread,OP! Go Vols!

Bill Duff stuffing Eddie George on 4th down at the goal line during the 1995 Citrus Bowl. The raw emotion he showed after that is priceless.

Interesting that Manning to Kent and Tee to Peerless are tied right now at 44 a piece. That proves how much we as Vol fans want to beat Alabama!

A ton of good ones mentioned already. The one that sticks out for me is Deon Grant jumping the quick out on the first play from scrimmage against Auburn in '99 and basically walking in for the pick six.
