Favorite Race Car

Not sure if Auto-X counts, but it's my thread!

Could probably buy that on ebay for hundreds of dollars. If that thing costs over 5,000... ripoff. If you're going for speed, probably fast. If you're going for looks... no chick is looking to get in

You've posted some cool cars but this?

This looks like garbage imo. Not trying to offend, just saying what I think. A bad paint job is one thing but it's also ugly in general

Well the thread is for favorites, not necessarily pretty race cars. The Jaguar XJR line of racecars won LeMan's twice and I personally like the look of the car and it's livery.

It's not without it's detractors though, Jackie Stewart wrote one off in his own videotape film::eek:hmy:

The 06 cars looked better, IMO.

The RA106 was a looker indeed!

This was pretty much the high point in terms of that generation of F1 cars in looks, over the next two years we got cars that looked like this:

Which is great when you consider the function, but I was happy when they went to the nice clean and sleek 2009 cars.

Woot Finally found the one I was thinking of, the Ligier JS39, with the special livery. I love the look of that camo like blue and white!!

This is a garbage analysis on every level. The integra was certainly a looker in its prime, which was over a decade ago, FYI. It's also unreasonably slow. It's clear your knowledge of racecars is nonexistent and you are just looking to troll an innocent racecar forum.

Solid, but I think that for 2000, the 170hp you got from a GSR was pretty good. Hell Honda still seems to think 197hp is enough.:loco:

but by today's standards the car is slow. Any garden variety Camry v6 will smoke it. Then again the Camry V6 runs like a sub 6-second 0-60.

Wtf is that?? Looks like a green tampon

Actually if you compare it to the competing cars in that 500 it has a noticeably lower profile from the driver back. It was very distinctive. The reason was the Porsche engine was a different configuration than the Cosworths and the others at the time.

It was back when engine and chassis differences were part of the fun of the sport.
