Fear the Walking Dead

Since it was brought up a second time I'll respond to the comment. I've met quite a few gay people in my life and I even have a couple friends who are gay. I've YET to meet one gay person who isn't flying the gay flag in some way. Even the gay females I've met are flying the flag. There is always a tell.

Getting back to the story, there is a small chance Strand is merely pretending to be gay to continue working on/with Thomas.

Spot on.

The problem always lies with the people who don't accept that every single person is completely normal, no matter what he or she does. If you think they are abnormal, then you are the freak.

What about Django?

No problems with the "zomg Strand is gay" plotline. I appreciate they chose the subtle route instead of overselling it from the get-go. It fits well within the character's enigmatic past.

Nick, as this point, seems like the most capable survivor of the bunch at this point. His street smarts and crackhead nature are serving in well in the apocalypse so far!

Finally watched this episode. I thought it was solid. I knew that mouthy kid was going to get his.

Alicia is playing Jack now. Poor guy is too dumb to see it.

Strand may be a conman but he is definitely gay. amd while I do agree that most gay people I have met do have a 'tell' it's not something you always see right off the bat. We also barely know this's character so it's not completely out of left field. If this was the 4th or 5th season and they just dropped it on the audience then I would definitely think it was out of character.

Exactly on Strand.

I will say that the main reason I think it's "possible" Strand really isn't gay is so they can layer that into how far he's willing to go to sell a con in his "means to an end" approach. If he turns out to actually be straight then it really IS a bit of a bomb and that he would portray himself as gay merely as a ploy is a whole hell of a lot more revealing about his character than just throwing out "Oh, by the way, Strand's gay.".

I think you're giving these writers too much credit. That would be the more intriguing plot.

What's the con at this point. Money is useless now. He's got a nice boat to survive on. Why try to connect with Abigail?

No, IF this is what the writers are doing (and I'm no way arguing it is) the twist is once safely ensconced he drops the "it was all a ruse", maybe even killing Abigail himself.

That would set the new standard for the "long con".

You all do realize that you have probably encountered gay people in your lives that you didn't know where gay right?

Eh, this episode was pretty lame to me. Really stupid how zombie brother suddenly stopped making zombie noises during the trade. Lol

Overall it was ok but there were a few stupid parts.

The dead brother going silent was one, and then that one walker being able to kill 2 guys was pretty stupid. I could see his brother getting bit, but he just bit his arm and suddenly the guy just drops. Then his idiot sidekick just stands and screams and lets him bite his neck. That was extremely lame how that played out.

And emo kid shooting the guy....wow didn't see that one coming. Who would have thought letting a rage filled teenager stay with the bad guy who was constantly trash talking would end badly, though I guess they didn't realize he had a gun.

Nick is my favorite character now. He seems like the only one actually enjoying his role. His facial expressions and reactions are pretty funny.
