This was the best episode of the season by far for me, and they're just re-hashing Herchel's scenario from TWD. Seems like weak writing imo.
They're going to have to come up with something interesting for me to really want to stick with the show. Chris' character flat out sucks. Most of the rest are just meh. Nick and Strand are the only two that are actually interesting. Daniel Salazar has potential.
I did laugh a bit on Talking Dead when Hardwick said "Yeah, it's kind of like the scenario with Hershel's farm on the main series"....no Chris, it's pretty much EXACTLY like the Hershel situation, except Hershel wasn't as batcrap crazy as this woman.
Sometimes I wish he'd get slipped some truth serum before the show starts and he could be 100% honest on what he thinks about the shows. I have a feeling in about 20 years he's going to write a book detailing all of it.
Yea. The praise he heaps on every episode is rivaled only by jimmy Fallon praise. He's a paid cheerleader for the show and it's cool. I think it would take truth serum though. He seems like a classy guy that wouldn't badmouth anyone's work. Talking dead is for the fans and the folks that watch it don't want to hear someone talk crap about a bad episode(s).
If i could get paid to to host a follow up show to game of thrones id do it.
I've always thought the after show seemed a bit much. I only watch it when a major character dies (been awhile) just to see what the actor has to say about their time on the show.
Having said that... I do listen to a TWD after show podcast but it's not produced by AMC so it's a little more critical than Talking is.
I'm with some of you guys here. I'm not quite sure what I even watched Sunday night. The whole episode seemed disjointed and poorly written. It felt like certain things were literally thrown in for the shock and awe value. I'm not even sure what they're doing with Cliff Curtis' character. He seemed like a big character in the first season and now he's been relegated to that guy that just randomly speaks every now and then. It's almost like Nick has just magically gotten over his drug addiction because they've literally not even addressed it for just about the whole second season.
Looks like the character of Chris is being used much like the writers used Andrea in TWD to stir up drama via irrational actions and behavior.
I find this very annoying because they do not make even the slightest effort to bring reason to these actions. Everyone acts on reason, even the insane.
We as the audience must simple except the fact that this person is breaking and we should just enjoy the ride and not ask questions - even though others in the group have experienced similar (or worse) tragedies and losses.
IMO, if they want us to believe Chris is losing his marbles, then they need to explore his situation in much more depth so we can get on board with it.
Okay so every character that I start to like gets killed...Daniel was gonna be a main character for this series or so I thought...
Last night's show left me scratching my head. Did I miss something? Seemed way too easy to kill the villain.
