Fear the Walking Dead

So did anyone watch it? I DVR'd it but I haven't watched yet. The reaction I've seen from most is "meh".

It also got a 3.86 rating, which is the lowest of the series.

As for the rating it was going against the Olympics Closing Ceremonies, the delayed NASCAR race, NFL Preseason as well as WWE Summerslam.

Not to mention it's aired like two or three other times over the next 4 to 6 hours.

I thought it was an interesting episode the whole thing focused around Nick's 100+ mile journey back toward the US border.

There wasn't an NFL preseason game Sunday night, the Oympic final ceremony ratings were down 44% from 2012, the NASCAR race was postponed until Monday, and I don't think you can really claim Summerslam cuts into the FTWD audience very much.

I really don't know what it airing several times over the next "4 to 6 hours" has to do with anything, considering it didn't seem to hurt the show's ratings before.

The trend of ratings has been they have consistently dropped since the show debuted.

The show blew it when it flew through the collapse of society. I'm sure it's a budget concern, but whatever.

I'll keep watching but I agree. It went from very quickly from the collapse of society to just another version of TWD.

I guess no one is really watching this. The 4 episodes so far have been ok but they are dragging the story out a bit already and are doing the same "split everyone up" thing TWD is doing.

The ratings continue to drop. Last week got a 2.99.

I'd wager this is their final season... put this show out of its misery... aim for the head :)

It's already been renewed for a Season 3, but I could see that season being reduced in episodes and it being the final season if interest doesn't pick up.

I just really don't care about ANY of these characters. Any of them could buy it without a reaction from me... Specially Curtis.

It's a sad statement that I have watched every episode and had to Google who "Curtis" is. Too soon to be taking long breaks from characters. Kills development...

Mea culpa on my part...don't care so much that I identified the actor's last name as the character's ...meant Travis. :)

maybe b/c im in thailand and starved for television presently....but for whatever reason I am liking this season SO much more.

....ya, its probably b/c of thailand.

The episodes seem to flow better now that they're off the boat and separated actually.

I was impressed with the idea to destroy the large herd. Overall plan.

Much better than the TWD megaherd parade plan...
In the same vein , they should have walked the herd around to the cliff side of the quarry and walked them off the cliff...

We saw the results of that already really. If it wasn't the zombies falling off the hotel balconies or the zombies off the cliff in TWD, unless they broke their legs they got right back up and kept on moving.

im still watching for some reason. i dont dislike it as much as previous season...

the 15 yr old quickly became a sociopath. that was kinda cool.

Finale was ok; but it wasn't a great. Still a whole lot of stupid in it to move the story along.

Really believe he's dead?

If he's not, then they just went above and beyond the Glenn stuff because the actor was on Talking Dead and said he's dead. I have to believe that if he wasn't really dead or the 2 guys didn't know, they wouldn't have lied to his enraged dad about it. And especially after he started beating the crap out of them and it was clear he was going to kill them.

I thought for all the build up it was a pretty lame way for him to go, getting killed in a flashback in a pretty meh way. Though I guess it was fitting he died like that, trusting 2 d-bags who he should have known would have killed him quickly.

The main thing that bugs me about this show is the very liberal use of the "walker guts" thing. They use it like 2 times a show now. Not to mention, on the main show they covered themselves in blood and guts and made sure not to act "human like" around the walkers. On Fear, they just smear a little blood on their faces like face paint and go on their merry way. So lame.

Hadn't watched the Talking Dead when I posted that so I agree with you. Would be cheaper than anything TWD has done yet to have Chris survive. Maybe I was basing it on the older show viewing experience. If you don't SEE them die...maybe they didn't? :). Watching it I thought it might be from their perspective.

My comment was just based off of the episode before last where he went off on his own actually. I was pretty sure the producers wouldn't try a Chris story line of his own. I honestly don't think anybody gave a crap about that character but that's jmo.

Now that we've seen the finale, and TTD he's definitely dead.

I applaud them for that Travis fight scene though. I don't think even Rick stomped some guys head in before he was a zombie but it's been 6 years now so I might have forgotten.

I finally finished up the last four episodes off my DVR last night and I admit I skipped through most of each episode.

To be honest I didn't care if any of them made it out alive. I kept waiting to jump up and down after one of those kids finally put us all out of our misery by killing Travis. Unfortunately we still have to suffer with him!

The only ones I care anything about are Madison (Although her obsession with finding Travis & Nick were a bit off putting at times!), Ofelia, Alicia & Nick!

Not really a spoiler but I'll wrap it anyway.
Daniel is still alive but you won't see him until next year.

LOL! I had to look up who that was!

This show is (at least to me) hard to remember which character is which.

Compared to TWD which by the 3rd or 4th episode I pretty well knew the names of the major characters.
