AMC ran a 5 minute promo on this yesterday. It pumped me up. I think i like direction they are going moreso than the original

I hadn't seen this one before. You get snippets from the actors to kind of give you a feel for who they are. There are short pieces of the show mixed in but no spoilers.

Yeah, that's what I was talking about. My DVR recorded it 2 weeks in a row.

It kinda pisses me off the way channels are manipulating my DVR. I set my TV to record the Soup and nobody was watching E!'s new show that follows it, so on the DVR they made it look like an hour-long episode of the Soup and it was just the new show. They even admitted that was their ploy!

Nope, ID the moral compass and they will die soon...
I think the chunky student that already has it figured out...it would be nice to have a character that gets the big picture to survive for a while...

I'm just saying without it having even aired an episode we don't really have enough info to really go off of. At this point it'd just be guesses.

Predictions on the premiere ratings? Considering TWD got a 17 rating for its last season premiere and averaged like a 14.0 all season, I'm betting the premiere of FTWD gets about a 12.0.

It was about as good as it could have been considering they wanted to show the beginning of the outbreak. I didn't expect too much action in the pilot. Just getting to know the characters. I'm looking forward to a little more action.

Yes I knew that's what this was going to be. But part of the appeal to the Walking Dead is, it basically is showing us what happens after the movie ends, so to speak. That idea is fresh and pretty new, recycling the "beginning of the outbreak" idea will probably not keep my interest for long honestly.

Lighten up Francis. :)

Even after watching all the zombie movies over the years I personally haven't grown tired of the "initial outbreak" portion of the apocalypse stories. Each show runner has their own take on the scenario so you never really see the same story twice. This has potential because everything is just going to get worse from here and more violent.

My only complaint would be why is it necessary for Hollywood to start out these new shows with "broken"(drug addict) characters? It's like the new trend or something.
