Ill probably watch it since banshee is not on but I'm not real excited about an outbreak show eitherBeginning of the outbreak...zzzzz
Yes I knew that's what this was going to be. But part of the appeal to the Walking Dead is, it basically is showing us what happens after the movie ends, so to speak. That idea is fresh and pretty new, recycling the "beginning of the outbreak" idea will probably not keep my interest for long honestly.
I'm hoping that this will explain how the US military and all the law-enforcement agencies were overrun so quickly. I just can't imagine that they would be that inept.
Rick was in a coma for three To four weeks correct? And the world went to hell in that short a period of time?

Lighten up Francis.
Even after watching all the zombie movies over the years I personally haven't grown tired of the "initial outbreak" portion of the apocalypse stories. Each show runner has their own take on the scenario so you never really see the same story twice. This has potential because everything is just going to get worse from here and more violent.
My only complaint would be why is it necessary for Hollywood to start out these new shows with "broken"(drug addict) characters? It's like the new trend or something.
Fwiw, a zombie outbreak IRL, even in a metro area, would be easily suppressed once people became organized. Way too many military reserve outposts and rednecks with guns for zeds to overtake the whole country; Murica!
Careful, Walking Dead fans are like ravenous Zombies, criticize it and they will bite you. Then they will yell about how all you care about are bullets and zombies. Lol
I guess it would depend on how quickly people caught onto the problem. First they need to figure out that the zombies are dead, then realize only head shots take them out. I could see the metro areas falling fairly quick. But once people were able to fall back and regroup outside of the metro areas I'm sure they could organize enough to go back and clear out the zombies.

Random question, you still watching Falling Skies?
Mostly I think it will show how society falls apart. I'm excited, I think it will be great.. Was kinda wanting to know how everyone got the virus...but I remembered in TWD the docs didn't know so they wouldn't know here either... I think it's gonna be a fine series..
