You’re right. It was probably his famous chili recipe that was inside a folder marked “Top Secret, SCI”. These folders, by the way, were signed off by Trumps own attorneys as not being in his possession anymore. Every single excuse Trump has thrown out has been proven otherwise.

If nothing was in the folders or if it contained his chili recipe he was not in possession of top secret documents. Which brings us back to the question how does Top Secret/SCI documents go missing for over 18 months with nobody knowing?

They did know. They’ve been after it for 18 months. @RockyTop85 gave a good timeline. They’ve tried every diplomatic effort possible to recover them. Trump rebuffed each time, and here we are. He is his own worst enemy.

No, they didn't know. It's been reported (from anonymous sources of course) that it was a mole/informant that told the FBI Trump was still in possession of TS documents. So which is it, did they know and were negotiating with Trump's team for their return or were they informed? If they knew what documents were missing why didn't they specifically ask for them when they visited in January or June?

I don’t watch Fox I actually watch msnbc and cnn . I enjoy laughing at stupid people , it’s a character flaw of mine . You intelligent liberals can’t let the populist fade away , you just can’t stand the fact that you can’t get him on something . That’s a bad political move , the FBI raid was a very bad move before midterms or anytime actually before the 2024 election . The lack of being able to read the room from the left has always fascinated me but again I just chalk it up to highly educated arrogance and the inability to see outside your bubble .

Exactly, they are whited out so you nor I have any idea what those documents are. But since you are obviously a Democrat and big fan of the federal government you believe anything they leak.

I am not a fan of Trump, didn't vote for him either time and hope like hell he doesn't run again. I just abhor the way the DOJ and federal law enforcement has become weapons for the political establishment. Everyone should be demanding transparency and accountability.

I’d say this is pretty darn transparent. They unsealed the warrant, they’ve now added pics from the crime scene. Yet you’re unconvinced bc you yourself haven’t read the documents. Got it.

The warrant means little to nothing, they heavily redacted the affidavit so we get next to nothing from it and now they release a photo of blanked out papers with folders marked classified. Yeah, they're being so transparent. Why fight the 3rd party independent review so vehemently if they are interested in transparency?

I mean the timeline also gives a plausible explanation for their objection to the special master, which is that at every step of the way Team Trump has stalled. Arguably this is another stalling tactic, that seems more likely given that they waited two weeks to file it, which the response emphasizes.

That concern is also raised in one of their arguments.

That concern is also evident in ALL of their proposed conditions for the special master in the event that one is appointed.

FWIW, the judge expediting the hell out of this and not issuing any sort of injunction or stay would suggest that she’s not really on board with that, to the extent that she perceives it to be a tactic.

If DJT followed proper procedures he would have never left the WH with them in hand but he didn't and here we sit with a big mess. DOJ has already proven their case. Just a matter of time. Master not needed because they are not his documents to begin with classified or not

Again I ask, how did TS/SCI documents go missing for over 18 months without anyone knowing?
