Biden returned them after they were stumbled upon. He didn’t willingly do it, big difference in how you said it. He had them for 6 years, that’s not an accident.

Zero chance. There's no way he'd have said what he said about Trump if he'd realized he also had such documents stored somewhere.

😂 You expect Biden to know what he did 6 years ago? Hell he can’t tell you what he had for breakfast.

But it doesn’t matter Rocky has laid it out and without question Biden must be impeached, removed from office and prosecuted. Intent has no bearing on whether or not he illegally possessed classified documents. Maybe Biden and Trump can share a cell.

He probably knew he was doing wrong when he did it years ago, but his mental state now is so deteriorated he can't remember anything. We elected a grapefruit for President. And he wants to be reelected.

That points up a problem in the Obama administration. Either nobody knew classified documents were missing, or they cooked the books so that nothing appeared to be missing when Trump took over. Quite different from the claim that Trump was told to return documents and didn't. The bigger failure is not even knowing about or covering up missing documents. Completely unacceptable. Suppose joe's documents were actually important and had been in the wrong hands for at least six years without anyone knowing; there was no way to take corrective action because no one would know it was necessary.

No. It means the Obama administration was too incompetent to know the documents were missing ... lack of institutional control. The other option is they discovered the documents missing and cooked the books to hide the fact they couldn't find them ... that's criminal intent.

I'm not defending Joe Biden for his illegal handling of classified documents. That's reckless. He should be censured for it.

Now, having said that ... There are two differences with Trump's case :

1) The National Archives did not know these records were missing until White House lawyers contacted them.

2) The biggest difference is the level of cooperation. The FBI did not immediately obtain a search warrant of Mar-a-Lago either. There is documentation of months of negotiations between the National Archives and Trump's legal team. Trump remained non-compliant.

AG Merrick Garland has appointed a special counsel, Robert Hur, who was appointed U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland by Donald Trump, to conduct an inquiry into Biden's handling of classified material. At least to this point, there is no evidence that Biden has obstructed an investigation. That may change. It's a developing matter.

Why would this involve the Trump Administration? The proper location for these documents was The National Archives when Obama/Biden left office in January of 2017.

The respective cases are quite different in terms of cooperation. The National Archives position is that they did not know that Biden was in possession of these classified documents. The National Archives says that they had not requested them. The position of Biden's legal team is that they contacted both the Department of Justice and The National Archives on the day of discovery and handed them over to officials in The National Archives the following day.

The House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed White House e-mails and e-mails from The National Archives and that should help verify their claims.

Biden is a hypocrite for his prior attacks on Trump's handling of classified docs ... and it seems that Trump wants to have his cake and eat it too. Trump has maintained throughout that keeping classified documents in his private residence was not wrong.

They were handed over to the proper authorities without the need for a subpoena.

.... and I'm glad we can all agree on the importance of properly handling classified information again. Biden really screwed up here. There is no excuse for it.

They were stolen and hidden for six years. Biden lawyers collecting is questionable and liberal privilege. He should have already resigned.
