Federal Indictment of Donald Trump

It is being taught in almost every American University. I am unsure whether you are actually unaware of it or playing dumb. Either way, I find you rather unequiped for this particular discussion.
This discussion had nothing to do with race ... I graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Business in 1996. It wasn't discussed in any of the classes I took, as far as I can remember ,,, but that was 27 years ago.

Anyway, I don't know how this chatter shifted to racism ... I was talking about election denial, and if Democrats did not denounce Stacey Abrams denial - is not the same thing as supporting it. The subject was hijacked by one of you idiots.

I think you understood that I was speaking in terms of election denial ... and you are trying to shift away from that.

My point was, that just because Democrats did not denounce Stacey Abrams for her election denial does not mean that they were supporting her claims. I wasn't talking about literal violence at all!
The leader of the Democrat party in the house is a massive election denier. You can stop with the "gop is the party of election denying." It is nonsense. Both parties have deniers in leadership.

See Jimmy Carter
See John Lewis
See Hillary Clinton
Is this a hill you really want to die on?

It was a factor in why Republicans performed so poorly in the 2022 mid-term elections. They had something like 200 election deniers running in Congressional elections. A majority of them lost.

I will be back with some links in a minute.

The issue, particularly for criminal charges, is intent.

Given what we know it would appear there is no intent behind Biden having the documents and it is almost certainly just a mistake when he left. The fact it is so few and they were found during a move strongly suggests that.

Trump, on the other hand, had a large number of them and from reports many were not secure in any way. Even worse, it is evident that Trump intended to keep them because he turned down multiple requests for their return.

I'm not saying that there shouldn't be an investigation into it and I'm thinking we need some kind of official in the WH at the end of a term who is responsible for reviewing everything that leaves to make sure this does not happen again. But the dividing line between negligent and criminal in this situation is intent and we KNOW Trump had intent at least in keeping them and there is no evidence (and on the face of the situation no reason to think) that Biden had any intent.

And the question as to Trump remains why. Why on Earth would he keep so many documents when he'd been asked over and over to return them?
Any more thoughts on Biden after that second stash was found? I havent been keeping up with the thread, so apologies if you have already weighed in.

I would say a safe is much more secure than Biden's garage. And two stashes suggests some intent, idk criminal or not. Without knowing the context of either I would find arguing criminal intent impossible.

If Trump thought he had rights to the files I would say it's hard to argue criminal intent. Similar to Biden just "misplacing" some things he maybe never should have had to begin with. As I understand it the VP doesnt have all the same privileges especially when it comes to documentation.

Everyone's reactions seem entirely based on political party.

I can do this all day. Your "side" spent as much time as the GOP denying or claiming fraud when Trump won. You just refuse to own it. Spare your links. I am not arguing that GOP didn't do the same. You just have your head in the sand about your own party.

LOL. That is bull $hit. The numbers are nowhere near the same.

... and tell me about that fake elector scheme that Democrats tried to pull off to help overturn the 2016 election.

Oh, that's right. It was Trump and the Republican Party who did that in 2020.

I take it you’re a Dim. So you think Repubes are racist? History 101, which party (bunch of old white men) freed the slaves? Ever heard of D-Strom Thurman or D-Robert Byrd? Both leaders of Dim party.

There have always been bad apples in both parties... I hated Robert Byrd. I hated Jesse Helms too - a Republican who once referred to the Martin Luther King holiday as "James Earl Ray Day."

There were 2 classified documents found in a Trump storage locker in West Palm Beach in December.
I thought more were found in Bidens garage. And LG was operating under the assumption that fewer meant it was not as bad.

If you want to argue otherwise take it up with him.

But the second trump stash does raise additional questions.
