They cheered when Trump talked about using the .gov to investigate and incarcerate his political opponent for a violation of the same statute. It's super weird that they'd now be against such actions.

Those in power are arrogant enough to think they have control over it and can maintain the status quo, but the election of Trump proved they were wrong. I do give the left credit for one thing: they have realized they cannot ignore the military and are taking steps to gain control over it and the police. The top brass of the military now is filled with woke liberals and they're moving fast to reduce the conservative bent of the rank and file and field-grade officers. I believe that is what all the Defund the Police was about; they were sending a message to those in law enforcement to play the game their way.

I don't see a civil war anytime within the next 100 years. I see the federal government being a 1 party authoritarian regime (not too far away from that now) after a national crisis.

I was hoping one of our resident barristers could answer that question. I don't understand why the FBI/Police wouldn't allow a suspects attorney to observe a search, seems like it would be the prudent thing to do especially in a high profile case.

Most of the people in my State are of the same general political mindset. Also why many conservatives are leaving Blue States and heading toward Red States. This was always the intention. States were their own sovereign Countries, each their own lab of Liberty.

1- I didn’t. I said over and over that it was political theater and nothing was going to happen
2- this isn’t mindless bitching like trump did. This is an escalation and using the DOJ against political opposition.

This should never have happened and I absolutely believe the Republicans will get payback when they have control again…..and they’ll be just as wrong when they do it.

She’s from Chicago. She met Bill at Yale. She’s about as Southern as deep dish pizza.

I don’t remember her ever seeming southern or trying to, but I wasn’t very old when Bill was in office. She is portrayed as being cold and calculating and being disliked for it in some of the television recreations of the Lewinsky scandal. I don’t know how faithful those are to reality but they generally fit with what I remember of Monica and Linda Tripp, not sure why they would change Hillary, but she certainly came across that way in 2016, so maybe.

I voted Bush in 2000, my first election, realized that was a huge mistake and voted Libertarian in 2004. Sat out the Presidential in 2008/2012 as there were no good candidates.

I think the job has gotten to be too big for one person and the actual figurehead of the campaign is not usually as significant as the things their supporters demand that they prioritize.

At the time, I wanted somebody more fiscally conservative who would prioritize national defense through combined military and diplomacy. So I picked republicans. Might have been lip service, but without knowing for sure, I don’t regret my votes.
