In fact Jesus was such an elitist he had fishermen and former prostitutes as his friend and followers. He was born in a manger. He "rebelled" against the elite, Roman and Jewish leaders. He came for everyone, not a select few.

Matthew 19:16-22

16 And behold, one came up to him, saying, "Teacher, what good deed must I do, to have eternal life?" 17 And he said to him, "Why do you ask me about what is good? One there is who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments." 18 He said to him, "Which?" And Jesus said, "You shall not kill, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, 19 Honor your father and mother, and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself." 20 The young man said to him, "All these I have observed; what do I still lack?" 21 Jesus said to him, "If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me." 22 When the young man heard this he went away sorrowful; for he had great possessions.

and yet his "followers" can't accept homosexuals.

A true follower of Christ does accept the homosexual. If they are not accepted into the Church, how can they learn the true word of God. The Bible does not accept the act of homosexuality, but the person is very welcome.
All of us are sinners, if the sinner is not accepted at Church, the buildings would be empty.

Furthermore that is like me making a generalized statement that all southern people are rednecks or everyone that smokes weed is a thug.

I present what the leader of Christianity says, and you make a generalization about every Christian.

If I focused on what other Christians do, I would not follow Christ. Heck when I was in high school my youth leader cheated on his wife with his secretary. You don't think that hurt and was tough to deal with when people at your high school make fun of you for that?

So let me get this straight, they found a stone seal and now everything in the bible is true and should be taken literally? That makes sense.

No offense, but your preaching gets on my nerves a little. I have no problem with your beliefs, but you're coming off as a little fanatical when you start preaching to posters on a message board.

Every thing in the Bible is not "now" true, it always has been. Finding the seal is just more proof.

Unfortunately as a Mod, I have to read many threads. I don't really have the luxury of skipping the teachings of T-Town threads.

Oh, and I don't really "read" them per se, I've become quite good at skimming for the bad words and flames without taking it all in (which is handy in threads like this).
