Hiring ~200 influencers was a bad idea?

Or folks getting butthurt over .5% of them being something they disagree with? Life must be tough for the uberfragile. Jfc...and now the same folks will boycott Peyton smdh 😆
They are also the same people who use the word "snowflake" without any self-awareness..

I haven’t had a domestic beer of any kind in over 25 years. Why? They all suck and I prefer a strong craft beer so I have no dog in this fight. However, for those of the “get over it” crowd the bud light fiasco is the single largest decline of any company in history. The bud light division is now bankrupt and InBev (a huge conglomerate) is now subsidizing the division. Stock holders will not tolerate this and it can be seen in the company’s stock which is falling. The problem with the promotion is they are wanting us to embrace mental illness which I will never do. It’s not intolerance, it’s reality.

They didn't ask you to embrace anything. I have seen 100 ad campaigns I disagreed with. I didn't throw a fit and act like a two year old.

As of a few weeks ago, bud light stock was down almost $30 billion. They also lost their #1 selling beer status. Seems like it was a pretty bad idea to me 😂

Yep. About half the country are hypersensitive as to what others are doing. AB didn't account for the idiocy factor of our citizens

It was an idiotic move by whoever made the decision at bud. Seems like they should have known that maybe promoting a guy prancing around dressed as a woman wouldn’t appeal to their main consumer base. Now they’re learning the hard way.

If you don’t understand the concept of the tipping point, then there is no common ground on which this conversation could productively continue. Suffice it to say that „understanding your customer base“ is business 101. And of course, all AB has to do to make the hemorrhaging stop is to offer a one sentence actual apology which makes their refusal to do so incredibly moronic. They are so afraid of offending the 0.5 percent that they will instead watch their brands burn and sink. And it’s not like Trans people were being prohibited from buying beer before the ad. Americans used to be a „live and let live country“. All ads or influence should focus on one thing…..product quality and or price. Brew a good beer, tells us about it, and leave us alone after that.

And they refuse to take the simple exit to get out. Almost hilarious

They didn't? Strongly disagree. They wanted it to be ALL Inclusive and embrace our differences and they trot out a man wanting to be a woman. I will not embrace mental illness and that's what transgenderism is. If that's your thing go for it. And lets be clear, it's always the left that throws the fits and they are very good at projecting.

On another note, I saw on the news that Modelo Especial is the largest selling beer at like 8.5% of the market. I would never have guessed that. Bud Light is still second at 7.3%.
Mexican food and Mexican beer. I am getting more comfortable with this immigration thing all the time. 😉

It certainly will go down in history as one of the worst marketing decisions ever. Talk about not paying attention to the opinions of your core target market.

I've never cared for any of the domestics anyway. Of course Peyton doesn't give 2 shiits what people think about him drinking it

Who cares really? I don't care what people do in their lives especially if it doesn't directly affect me or my family. I don't agree with all this stuff happening around us and I never in a million years thought this world would become what it has, but nowadays if you say anything you're the problem...oh well let it be🤣

The de-humanization of people you disagree with is dangerous.
It has never ended well.
And it is amazing to me, most people will assume I am referring to the people they are de-humanizing.

It's the effects of social media. Same things were going on 30, 40, 50 and 60 years ago.

I never thought I would live in an America where a minority are anxious and willing to declare people they disagree with as less or even not real Americans.
A presidential candidate yesterday said our diversity is not a strength.
The weirdest part is he is a member of a very small minority group.
