Agreed but you also have to think dbs have it harder than anyone else in this Tennessee system. It’s been subpar but haven’t been terrible, putting clamps on receivers would put this defense over the edge imo
Most definitely but our DB's have looked absolutely horrible these 2 years. If we can get any kind of improvement in the secondary that would just help our offense even more. If Martinez can't coach up the DB's we got last year and the ones in this class, then he definitely doesn't need to be here coaching.
SDS is never good lolCai Bates, 4-star CB and SEC target, announces commitment date
This SDS article says FSU is considered the favorite. They also say he is “favoring” Florida State, Tennessee, Kentucky and LSU…. Kentucky isn’t even on the commitment graphic. Does anyone working at SDS have a clue?
It will be hard for him to crack the 2 deep this season unless we have another run of injuries. We have Jeudy-Lally, Slaughter, Hadden, Turnage, Burrell, and Williams that are all seniors at cornerback. Every one of those guys have starting experience in the SEC at CB, except Williams (who may be the best punt returner in the nation). You think he cracks the 2 deep? We have so many bodies that were injured and not fully developed. I am optimistic on the secondary. I counted months ago and it was like 20+ players iirc
@KingNico tell me how to feel
Dee's one to watch this season. Improved D will lead to more opportunities. It will be hard for him to crack the 2 deep this season unless we have another run of injuries.
