Bass you seem to be implying that we can be like Bama and turn hughly ranked guys away. Thats not the case. If Bogle, Henry T, Wright and Pickens wanted in, I would be the farm that Pruitt finds a way to get them in. Most of us have been stoked at the possibility of landing Bogle. Now just because of the addition of Crouch he isnt a take because we may not have the room? I am not buying it. Especially if he goes to Bama. It would be. Different if the choices were TN and FAU. But if Bama has the room, then TN better have the room.

I mean I’d like him in this class. But if we’re only taking 23 players, we may not have room if we land the other guys we need. Wright has a spot no matter what. So does Henry To.

So with the potential loss of Henry and Cox, how is it we are not signing at least 25? Also, like I said, how can we pass on a guy that Bama wouldnt? I mean he plays a position of desperate need. Pruitt could tell Means to look elsewhere to get Bogle. Especially if we were to somehow land Pickens (not likely).

I just cannot see letting a good pass rusher go.

Idk. Means is already signed. He’s in. I don’t know anything about numbers I’m just taking VQ’s word for it. Simonton just posted over there that they wouldn’t want to turn Bogle away, but with number being tight and them landing Crouch, there are other needs that are higher priorities than Bogle

Wow. Thats shocking. I mean especially like I said with the possibility of losing Henry and Cox. Recruiting is definitely like an episode of the Twilight Zone.

I think a lot of folks on here are setting themselves up for another disappointment/reality check... We are late on Pickens, and he will not come to UT at this point with other safer programs in play. I don't think Bogle has been in play seriously at any point... Mom is stuck on Miami, and the only thing that could pry him away from FL would be the best team in the country, which we are not at this point.

I think if Toot actually visits, then we have about a 40% chance against everyone else. I think he wants to play in the SEC, and we are actually in a good spot. Wright is a Vol right now, but don't think GA and AL won't throw the kitchen sink at him if they think they need to, and they have plenty to throw compared to us right now.

'20 we need to continue to build linemen (need a pass rusher), and will need to concentrate on WR's, LB's, and grab an elite RB...

Bama needs a Jack-type and can take a couple of years to develop. We need an immediate 3-4 DE who can spell starters by the BYU game. With Cox looking like he’s JUCO-bound then the bigger priority is to solidify the line with a 6’4”+ 300+pounder.

Yes. Who is our pass rush? Immediate need there. Immediate, you are bringing 2020 problems into a class where we can't even fix our 2019 problems.

De is always more important than WR. And DE more likely to need extra time to get game ready. WR can be plug and play pretty easy

Bogle isn’t a DE. He’s an OLB. And Crouch and Harrison are the ones we’re bringing in. I agree we need a DE. That’s why I was hoping we’d flip Eboigbe. At this point it looks like we’re going to have to get a transfer DE.

De/OLB it's the same pass rush we need. Crouch coming off an injury, would feel much better having multiple guys in there to be pass rushers.

I edited it. We have Crouch and Harrison coming in as OLB/Pass rushers. We need a true DE. Don’t know if any out there and may have to go transfer market for one.

They're thinking that Bogle is the same as Eboigbe and Anderson; difference between STRONG DE and WEAK DE/OLB. Crouch changed our need for Bogle, not our need for Eboigbe or Anderson. Crouch/Harrison/Bogle are to Taylor, as Eboigbe/Anderson/Norton are to Phillips.

Pickens adds to our offensive playmakers that we are currently lacking. We have 1 explosive playmaker and that’s Chandler. In this recruiting class we have added Gray. We could use Pickens in the worst way. I’d take Pickens over a 3 star DE we could get over Illinois. Like I said, do you know the name of a DE out there that’s available that we’re in on? If so, I haven’t heard his name.

Exactly. And I don’t know of any SDE’s out there that we’re in on.

Don't forget Keyton, Bass; before he got hurt, he was showing everyone he is a top 10 WR.
