'19 FL DE Khris Bogle (UF signee)

Don't forget Keyton, Bass; before he got hurt, he was showing everyone he is a top 10 WR.
I love Keyton. I think he’s a baller and he’s probably my favorite commit of this class. But I think he’s more like what we have in Calloway, but better. Not a guy who’s going to turn a 20 yard catch into a 60 yarder

They're thinking that Bogle is the same as Eboigbe and Anderson; difference between STRONG DE and WEAK DE/OLB. Crouch changed our need for Bogle, not our need for Eboigbe or Anderson. Crouch/Harrison/Bogle is to Taylor, as Eboigbe/Anderson/Norton are to Phillips.

You dont think Bogle could play either position? If not, why? There isnt a huge difference between the two.

I think Tillman will be the take the top off a defense type of guy. Also, we should be able to sign a few more than we think. Especially with at least 5 guys wanting to transfer out.

Guess we’ll find out in February. We need as many as we can get. He may be saving room for a couple transfers tho. If Phillips wants to transfer (hopefully) and also a QB (hopefully Hurts)

... Wright is a Vol right now, but don't think GA and AL won't throw the kitchen sink at him if they think they need to, and they have plenty to throw compared to us right now...
Bama has 5 OL, including 3 OTs (#5 Evan Neal, #6 Pierce Quick, #8 Amari Kight) already signed, very few spots left and higher priority needs (DL, LB, DB, RB). So, I doubt that Bama can beat out the Vols for Wright or will push hard for him, unless there's room due to missing on higher priority targets.

Bogle weighs 210-215 pounds. Kyle Phillips weighs 270 pounds. THAT'S the, not only huge, but massive difference. Eboigbe, Anderson, Norton...260+, right now.

I disagree with your general thesis. We got Chandler and Gray who can both House it from either 20. And there’s some speed with Murphy (who took a while to get the playbook) and if Means turns out alright. But the biggest improvement on offense will be the starting QB not getting plowed into the ground every other play.

But we’re gonna need to start growing these defensive linemen from jump street rather than hoping the JUCO teaches them what to do.

Didnt Phillips retire? Why do you want Hurts? He would not be better than anyone we have.

Idk...you may be right. I believe he's a lot smoother than Calloway.

Two of those playmakers are at RB. We need playmakers at receiver. Keyton is one, and I would love to see Pickens be another.
I agree about DE. Wish we could have gotten Logue, Norton, Anderson, or, most of all, Eboigbe. But we didn’t. Hope we can find one on the transfer market

I can’t wait to watch him dominate. I watched several Marietta games this year and he was absolutely dominant. He’s a 5 star receiver imo and may have gotten one if he stayed healthy.

I think Phillips is transferring. Don’t know. Hurts is 100x better than JG. Not sure what you’re thinking there. JG, as much as I like him, isn’t going to carry his team to a win like Hurts did Bama in Atl a few weeks ago imo

True but in the SEC, if you cannot win at a high level if you dont win in the trenches. Our biggest needs are on the OL and DL.
I agree with all you just said; still would take Pickens over Bogle. Bogle's position was solidified with Crouch and Harrison. Now...would I take Pickens over Eboigbe, Norton, or even Anderson...probably not.

Speed doesn’t correlate directly with playmaking. Ballers are ballers, regardless of speed.

And Pruitt is gonna get another big man for that d-line. And I will be shocked if he ain’t a high school kid. Gonna have to find somebody at the last minute again with the right size.

I think everyone would agree we need more offensive playmakers. Pickens is a huge need.

You are assuming Hurts is better because of what he has done at Alabama. Zero proof he would be better at TN. How many QBs have transferred from Bama and played better at the other school? The Hurts fascination is crazy. He plays on a team loaded with the best talent in the nation and has played well. Lets not forget, that same Bama system made Coke, McCarron and RB Blake Sims look like Heisman QBs.

Bogle isn’t a DE. He’s an OLB. And Crouch and Harrison are the ones we’re bringing in. I agree we need a DE. That’s why I was hoping we’d flip Eboigbe. At this point it looks like we’re going to have to get a transfer DE.

Didn’t we already get a transfer DE?

Hurts is a good QB period. He can make things happen with his legs and this year he turned into a better passer. I don’t know who he is going to go to, but whoever he plays for next year they will have a good season.

Edit: you don’t win as many games at QB as he did without being a good QB no matter who you are playing for, and oh yeah he shredded Tennessee when he played us.
