I think the problem is that it is the same "new day" we've been seen for years now. To call out the administration's lack of a commitment to winning is not attacking the program. It's attacking the poor choices and lack of an investment in winning. Sitting by and saying nothing while the admin continues to dig UT deeper in a hole isnt going to magically improve because we have a new guy using the shovel.
Just because they didn’t hire the coach you wanted doesn’t mean they aren’t “committed to winning”

I'm not upset. I just find it hard to 💥 for someone, with so far, a meh offer list, like most everyone on here. But it's irritating, when I except your opinion, but you bash mine for being a realist.

I like Heupel but I'm not a "STAN." I'm not questioning the coaching staff but I'm not "carrying their water" either.

All I said is it would be nice to actually be excited about a recruit, as in beating out an Auburn, Texas A&M, Georgia, Florida ect. Someone those teams actually want. All of our recruits are ranked below .90. We can't compete in the SEC with 20th-30th in the nation in recruiting.

In closing I'm not bashing the coaching staff and I understand where the program is right now. I just feel,, celebrating a bunch of lower tier players is like excepting mediocrity with The Orange and White.
I accepted your opinion. I also said I understand it is not a top 100 player. I just said he made a good point about why you are not able to get excited about the players. From your response it sounds like you trust the recruiting services evaluations more than the coaches which is fine. Some have pointed out that these coaches just had 6 players taken in the draft that were rated below .90. Those can compete in the SEC even if they don't win championships. Have to start where we are and work our way up and out of this mess. There's nothing we can do to accept or not accept who chooses to come play for Tennessee. We just have to decide if we are going to cheer for them or not.

Yea, Georgia, Florida, and Bama are hunkered down and preparing how to survive in the aftermath of destruction that Josh Heupel is going to unleash on the SEC.

You are one of the many that get on here and "wash the feet" of each new coaching staffs ability to recruit and evaluate talent. Then at the end of each staffs tenor here 'they couldn't evaluate talent.'

Come on dude everyone has an opinion. Everyone is wrong all the time just read it and move on if you don't like it. You say the same thing everytime someone questions a recruit.
My question to you is why you expect everyone to accept your opinion and move on when you are questioning others' opinions and the coaches' opinions. Either be prepared to defend your opinion, or don't get upset when someone questions it.

It may be a new day, but it is a new Administration from the top to the bottom as far as our football program is concerned. New President , Chancellor, new AD, new Head coach, new assistant coaches, new supportive staff. They are new diggers digging in new ground. Plus, can it be any worse than the last 15 years? Why make their task more difficult by complaining before the first game is played? It is like trying to raise a chicken farm and boiling the eggs before they have a chance to hatch.

It's the same chancellor that secretly gave Fulmer an undeserving extension and raise and the same President that allowed it to happen. 15 years of sitting around and accepting the same mediocrity has allowed this hole to get as deep as it is. The admin is clearly not going to hold itself accountable. The fans who ultimately pay the bills are all that is left. At some point the guy who goes to the same alley and keeps getting robbed by the same people is to blame himself. I, for one, would like to not be trying to get excited about another mediocre HC hire in 3-4 years.

Tayven Jackson had offers from Florida, Ole Miss, Auburn, A&M, etc

Foley had an Auburn and Arkansas offer

Herring had Miss St, Kentucky, Arkansas

Even Sneed had a Kentucky offer

This is the 1st commit they’ve taken that other SEC schools weren’t pursuing
And we're they actual takes there? Jackson maybe the others... it's doubtful.

Huhhh... I haven't attacked anyone's opinion my stand point was I wanted to boom for some actual higher recruited players. It's not even as much of a ranking standpoint. It's more of a what schools are actually recruiting our commits hard. @drvenner

Exactly which sports are currently exhibiting mediocrity TODAY. CPF for sure made a terrible hire for football, GOT IT.... but out of Men's and Women's BB, baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, swimming, golf, and tennis, which are trending poorly? Put some meat on the bones.

Edited to add throw in rowing and track and field....

If you look at it real close, CPF and staff may have been a bargain for what they have or have not done the last three years. They own it all and have handed the new guy a pretty sweet deal, only having to revive the bell cow, and there is NO intelligent way to status that group till we get some players on the field and some games under our belt. Hard to trend nothiing. Looking forward to your factual support of your attack.

Uh....ok then
Didn’t have a chance to explain the other day..... I use to think stars and offer lists were all that mattered.... I came to realize that the most important attribute is being able to scout players and know which players fit your system..... I don’t know if hype and his staff can do that but it’s the most important quality in a coach..... As a coach/program grows eventually the stars and evaluations will coincide with each other.... The key is getting a few stars(especially at QB) and have solid players fill out the rest of your class..... in this covid year..... most recruiting sites/coaches have never even seen this kid play or properly evaluated him...... I am hoping this situation helps our staff get a great start towards building the program.

People aren't driving across the state and spending millions of collective dollars in revenue to watch swimming, golf, tennis, soccer and volleyball. Fulmer didnt hire the mens BB coach. Making a terrible hire is FB is what really matters here.
