The money that had been going around programs in the shadows previously, is chump change compared to the money being thrown around now. The cars and cash combined for all who were receiving fringe benefits on a team doesn't equal what is being thrown at a kid (just one individual) who hasn't even played their senior year of high school football. No..... that is not sustainable.Yes we are building a nice class. I really like this class. But players like Mauigoa are the program changers like Nico are. I realize it was because of Nico we got in this. But the fact is we didn’t land him. Miami put up more money. We have been told Bama and UGA have been giving tons of cash and cars for a long time right? Seems like it’s completely sustainable for them.
Saban is the master cheater right? That’s what’s been echoed on this board forever right? Well had it been sustainable for him at Bama?

We are not in a position to do that simply because The NCAA would love to make us the poster. Think about that.. do we wanna drag this crap out another two years
We play in the sec and are one of the most storied programs with impeccable grounds and facilities. We also have a young spectacular play calling head coach and imo by far the most exciting qb recruit of the class (who also happens to be of somoan descent). To me…mauigoa is the loser in this scenario. Miami? If it had been bama or uga. Or even USC ok. But crazy he choose Miami.
I still hope Ruiz goes bankrupt and all his business ventures fold, and he's left penniless like Mortimer and Randolph Duke.I donate to Spyre.

If Frances were my child, and Miami offered 4 million, I would have to tell him to accept it. If he just stays healthy and contrubutes to them winning, he would then have a college degree from Miami plus 4 million dollars head start on life at 22.
And I'm not blaming Spyre. 4 million is too much for an Olineman. One Olineman.
I understand why they didn't match.
Hoarding it from Texas mostly. Makes senseNo one knows how much Arch got commit to Texas. And since he's committed, Texas has been hoarding offensive talent!
And there's an easier path to follow, because there's no conflict of them being underpaid.
It seems to me the news about what Nico got paid is actually hurting the Vols now.
I would not want some of the posters here as teammates late in the 4th quarter, down by 6 after giving up an interception. Some of yall do not handle adversity well at all.
Completely and totally agree with everything in this post. Don’t blame the kid or Tennessee for how this worked out.I donate to Spyre.

Yep most anyone would. People have to understand this is a business that has a budget. We have around 100 players that have to be compensated. There for you have to figure out how much you can spend per position, yet some in each position may earn more than the other. If that becomes too much of a spread they will start looking around. It's going to be a tough job but ultimately I think it's the head coach that should be responsible for how spyre handles the nil . Coaches are going have to be good business men along with the X's and O's.I donate to Spyre.
