'19 FL QB Brian Maurer (Tennessee signee)

We really don't have room in this class for 2 QBs. Too many other pressing needs. JG isn't leaving.

Even if we had 25. These 2 QB advocates need to look at some of the names we’re in on and who’d we say no to to hold a spot for the Taulia Hail Mary. Wright, Crouch, Toto, Bush, Payton, Curry? I guess Pruitt could just tank on all them then we could have THREE QB’s. Not sure Taulia signs on if the class is impacted by squeezing him in. JG’s going to have a lot of options. He could not start some games but start seeing his place in the offense as it goes along. It’ll depend on how his relationship builds or doesn’t with the coaches. If he leaves, there’s always a graduate transfer from the 20 class.

Because both 247 and VQ mods have said they want 2 QB's. They're still recruiting Taulia hard and want to add him to the class along with Maurer. They're still talking with the QB that decommmitted from Kansas yesterday, Callahan made it sound like he's Taulia's backup.

I just dont see it, even with a full class of 25 we have too many holes. The mods are (gasp) wrong here. I could see them dropping Mauer for Tualia but I don't know if they would.

Both JG and KC have some significant injury history so I’m betting both will play this year no matter who gets trotted out there Sept 1st.

Although tackling KC looks like it’d be about as much fun as trying to tackle a Winnebago

If you believe that Maurer doesn't know we are persuing another QB in this class, then go ahead and worry about him bolting, I can't stop you. 2 QB's sign in the same class all the time; hell, Butch signed 3 in a class. Also, Jeremy Pruitt isn't CUM. I'd bet the house Maurer is fully aware we are persuing another QB...in fact, I bet he even knows who that QB is, we all do.

But they’re not getting that from the coaches...how would THEY know what JG’s thinking. I also don’t believe they’re in deep with this new coaching staff...at least not yet. Lotta guessing on there. Educated guesses, but guesses nonetheless. Prolly why Hubbs subliminally hired Steele during Fulmer’s search...he would have been his parrot.

Everybody’s got him pegged as a petulant, entitled brat based on sideline behavior in ONE GAME. Fueled by a commentator who wanted our best defensive player kicked off the team for similar gestures that he defended from the eventual Heisman winner. Capped off by criticizing us for not shutting up and taking Schiano. Kid signed up knowing that Dobbs would be the star and redshirted. Worked hard to develop in a broken mess and has competed his azz off since. If he was prone to run due to competition or difficult situations, he’d be gone before Dormady. He perceives a fair shot, and I think he stays...at least until after the O&W game. Enough tea leaf reading material.

I hope they wouldnt drop Mauer for Tualia, i think Mauer is a better natural QB and a better fit for this offense. Plus i dont like Tualias measurements. Seems a little undersized. But im a height supremacist when it comes to Qbs.

He's already up to 195 or so. He always had to keep his weight down for basketball but decided to give that up this year to focus on football and is planning on playing closer to 200 this season. He ran a 4.6 at the elite 11 and can dunk a basketball. So he's a really good athlete too.

Taulia put up like 3820 yards last year lol with 36 TDs to say he is overrated is a stretch. I do like Maurer though.
