Yeah, Texas boosters are certainly a new deal.....

Texas has always had a lot of money but it's the use of money to lure athletes. All other factors are secondary including being a suspect program for years. This is not only a haves versus have nots environment, but when lower tier programs find diamonds in the rough and develop them bigger programs can now interfere and lure them away.

They've won a national title more recently than us, plus it isn't unusual for them to have paid talent. The players getting paid bothers me none, though, and there have always been haves and have nots. More often than not we're the former.

Not to get off topic but this is a great thing for those athletes. More resources, more exposure, likely better coaching.

From Rivals:

Following his de-commitment from Alabama, the feeling was that Ohio State would eventually land the four-star receiver from Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin as the Buckeyes have had a lot of success with South Florida Express players. Now the word is that Texas is the team to beat. Tennessee, Florida State and others are involved, and the Buckeyes aren’t giving up, but the Longhorns look strongest at this point.

thought we were in there better

Maybe he doesn't like the way the depth chart is stacking up and/or maybe our collective doesn't feel like his value is as high as others.

Yeah not sure why it's surprising always felt like he was a long shot.I mean unfortunately some of the top wrs this cycle are coming from Texas and there fresh off that big playoff appearance..You know what they say
"ain't nothing but steers and...ehhhhh nm lol

Comes to our mega recruiting event but somehow Miami is in it but we aren’t. Guess Ruiz’s checks are still good. Was really hoping to fry one of the elite WRs. Guess GNac coming in didn’t really help.

I truly think radarius Jackson is that elite wr. The rankings just don’t reflect that yet
