Its guaranteed but usually there is an offset... so say he is owed $6m per year, but gets a job for $5m... 49ers would owe him $1m per year. Generally, that is how most of these are setup.

If Frost was prefered to Kelly by Florida, Tennessee needs to get Frost regardless of the timetable. This is assuming Patterson, and Gruden said no already.

I had misunderstood that the "deal" was done yesterday rather the "deal" with the AA and his show cause was done. Stricklin hasn't physically met with Kelly yet but that's happening.

Not surprised, which is why I gave that disclaimer.

Coaching searches have a bunch of moving parts, and misdirection plays a big part in the process, but I still think Frost is our #1 target.

If it turns out to be Kelly, I won't be disappointed.

If you had a shot at spending the night with Kristen Bell, but had to settle for Jennifer Anniston, chances are you'd be cool with it.

There is mutual interest and Kelly is the #1 target right now. Just a matter of finalizing an agreement and announcing. If it's not Kelly, I woild be more surprised than if it were Gruden to UT. The last number I saw was 6.5

And I'd be okay with that.

The consensus around UCF's campus is Frost is either Gainesville or Lincoln bound, and from all accounts Frost LOVES living in Florida.

But if Stricklin comes to terms with Kelly, without the hassle of negotiating buyouts with a current coach, so be it.

Imo chip kelly is the closest UF can get to a sure thing

I like frost but he ain't the sure thing Kelly is

46-7 along with 3 or 4 conf titles and a national championship appearance and really it was more like 2 nc appearance the coach after him just rode the wave with that Mariota team that made playoffs that was all Kelly guys

Also his offense couldn't be more perfect for fla kids

If this happens, we can kiss any chances of sniffing an East title for the next 4-5 years. Add what Smart is doing at UGA, Tennessee would be completely screwed.

damn it, how does Florida always come out smelling like a rose? Best freaking deal of the year if that's true. It must be amazing to have the confidence in an amazing AD like Florida has.
