Florida State vs LSU (7:30 pm ET)

I was not expecting that. If you’re on UTs schedule, I can’t pull for you. FSU could have and should have easily won this game. The better team won.

Please explain. In both scenarios they have 1 second on the clock and time to run one play. Am I missing something here?
If they had done it right clock would start on whistle so you had to be lined up and snap the ball as soon as whistle blows or clock runs out. Since FSU had to call timeout they could line up and take their time to snap ball.

But they wouldn't have been able to snap it. The new rule last year says you have to have 2 seconds or a timeout.

I don’t know the rule book to this level of detail. But seems like if they would have ruled him down by contact they would not have been able to get off another play.

There is no down by contact in college, but if down with a running clock, you have to have 3 seconds in order to snap it. They changed the rule after the 2019 Iron Bowl.
