Florida vs Georgia

Yeah I initially read a little fast and saw something that wasn’t quite there too by skipping over some words.
Gosh, I was looking at 22.5 thinking that's an awfully lot of points for this rivalry. I'll probably lay a little on Florida covering.

It does seem like a lot. Georgia is a good team and should win normally but I could see it being much closer. I mean Missouri and Kent State were able to cause them issues when they could get them off the field and get some turnovers. Georgia was able to come back late against against Missouri but it wasn’t easy.

One thing I was looking at last night to try to understand our matchup with them was explosiveness. They are very efficient and stay on schedule but they aren’t generating a lot of big plays. Particularly in the passing game Bennett has very few big gainers. Florida has a lot of problems but they can generate big plans and their defense is good at some things.

I don’t think they win and maybe they do lose by 22.5 or more but I am not sure.

Florida plays Georgia this weekend, so which scenario is better for us?

Georgia wins, comes into our game undefeated for a huge matchup with Gameday present again

Or

Florida wins, Georgia takes a L in conference play which gives us a better chance to win the East.

Georgia losing benefits Tennessee the most. Sorry if this has already been communicated in the replies. Hypothetically, lets say that Georgia somehow loses to Florida, and somehow we lose to Georgia. Fast forward to the SEC championship. If Bama beats Georgia in the SEC championship, a one loss Tennessee has a better chance of making the playoffs than a two loss Georgia. Just saying. I still think Georgia beats Florida this weekend, AND I think Tennessee pulls off an upset against Georgia next weekend!

Florida already has 3 SEC losses. UGa has zero.

We want Florida to win. Could turn out being important, later, for us getting to Atlanta.

You want Georgia to win. If they beat us in a close game. They go to Atlanta and win the SEC championship. We still get in the playoffs.

Gives us two shots at getting in . Win out or with one loss.

Pretty simple, actually.

Yes, we want to beat them outright.

Yes, us going undefeated makes anything else they do unimportant.

But there's more than one way to skin a cat. Sometimes, you need to be ready to use the messier method.

If we lose we'd still need GA to lose another game against UK or MsSt. Don't see that happening.
I'd rather not have a pissed off Ga team fresh off a loss. We saw what happened last year.

No, I don't. I want Florida to win.

I'd prefer two possible paths to Atlanta. The "we beat UGa" route and the "we lose to UGa but still win the East and go to Atlanta because they have more SEC losses than we do" route.

If we get to Atlanta, we always have a shot at getting into the playoffs. The key is getting to Atlanta.

People are always talking about Slim and None as if they're twins.

I prefer Slim to None, every time.

Go Vols!

Easiest path is to beat GA. F*** backing in hoping they lose more SEC games.
