Florida vs Georgia

Easiest path is ti beat GA. F*** backing in hoping they lose more SEC games.

Yep. And here's the other thing...I want Tennessee to get the experience of being in a 1 vs. 2 or 3 game. That's great experience so we have big game experience in the future. We're still in the first year of being "back" to elite and every bit of big time experience will help us down the road. Yes, a 1-loss Georgia team is still a "big game," but the spotlight of a 1 vs. 2 or 3 game would be enormous.

Florida plays Georgia this weekend, so which scenario is better for us?

Georgia wins, comes into our game undefeated for a huge matchup with Gameday present again

Or

Florida wins, Georgia takes a L in conference play which gives us a better chance to win the East.

Florida won't win probably, but they can definitely turn it into a physical game that leaves UGA battered heading into our game.

No.

The most direct path is beating UGa, agreed. And I'm all for that. Really, really hoping it happens.

But if it doesn't...

I'd prefer a slim chance remaining even if we don't beat them ourselves. Even if the slim chance comes down to whether Mississippi State or Kentucky can pull off an upset in mid-late November.

I prefer that to no chance at all.

Let's get to Atlanta, however it takes to get there. And win there. And then win the playoffs, too.

Go Vols!

Honestly, a close loss to an undefeated Ga won't derail our playoff hopes but we will save ourselves an extra game. A loss to a one loss Ga team likely ends the Cinderella story.

Should we somehow lose a game we shouldn’t it’s important Georgia loses to Florida.

But if we handle business I want a shot at number 1.

Probably prefer UGA to win in a thriller. Hopefully catching them in a bit of a hangover next weekend.

Ultimately, all I want to see if AR torch their defense all game long so all the UGA fans will squirm all next week thinking about what we're find do to them.

Our resume will always be better playing a #1 team rather than a team ranked lower. Additionally, do you want to play an opponent with EXTRA fire under their behinds? I'm sorry but I do not see this as debatable. The best thing for Tennessee football is a Florida loss.
Resume is irrelevant. If we win out we will be number one no matter what Georgia does before hand.

Well on the one hand I don't want Florida to win any games ever, under any circumstances. If the movie "Victory" was Gators v Nazis, I wouldn't cheer for anyone. On the other hand, if UGA is #1 when we pants them in front of the whole nation, their whining will be maximized. So I suppose I will pull for UGA (passively, with no actual cheering).

It wouldn't hurt if Florida bruised and battered Georgia.

These two combined are the correct answer.

This is based on the very unlikely reality that any team in a Power 5 conference goes through this season undefeated. Only 5 teams have done so in the last 10 years. A win OR loss to a #1 (especially with a win against a #3, already in our back pocket) goes a long ways in the post season. Especially if its our only loss (ask Alabama circa 2016).

I’d say Georgia because if we take care of business and they do as well it’s a 1 v 3 matchup and another nationally relevant game to add to the resume if we win. Plus, even if ga loses and then turns around and wins against us they are still in the drivers seat for the east

They is why we will see our fourth string the whole game against Kentucky. Then, we play everyone against UGly

Answer:

GA wins a squeaker after a quadruple overtime, hard fought, bruising game!

Georgia wins and comes in undefeated would be best. If they lose then they will be at another level.

don't care as long as UF exposes UGA's defense for what it is. I think Bennett will have a long day if they shut Brock Bowers down.
