Florida vs USC

Sanchez is better than palmer. Palmer had far better receivers and really only had one half of a good season in his entire SC career.

and what explosive offense has florida faced? The SEC is filled with some of the worst offenses in the country see south carolina, Tenn, and Auburn. and don't give me the "sec has great defenses" bs. Those teams haven't scored any points in their nonconference games too.
Sanchez doesn't throw it like Palmer, period. Palmer was a monster in the NFL with some decent protection. Now that it's shot and he took a painful knee destroying shot, I'm not sure we'll see him return to that spot, but he as a bad man while he was there.

NFL is not the same as college. Sanchez is the better college qb. Tom Brady didn't exactly light it up in college too. Sanchez has a moster arm. Carroll says he works harder than any PLAYER (not just qb) he's ever had.

but he has made some seriously boneheaded plays and pressed repeat.

I may be interpreting your post wrong.. but..

If you say NFL and college are completely different (they are), then the Tom Brady argument seems null and void.

I haven't seen enough of Sanchez to judge, i'll admit that. Both of these teams, if they have success running the ball, are potentially unstoppable.

sanchez would smoke florida's horrid pass defense. The game wouldnt' be close.
Droski, Ha <------ that is me laughing at you. Come down from those trees man. Sanchez looks good because he goes against mediocre Defenses every week. Sanchez is not even close to Carson Palmer. Tell your Cal boys to watchout for those teams in the weakest conference in the country - ACC.

palmer was HORRIBLE up until the second half of his senior season. SC fans hated the guy. Sanchez threw 3 picks against ASU, 2 of which were his fault and I'd say most of that was his injury. He lit up Ohio State and Oregon and he can't be blamed for Oregon State IMO.

maybe sec defenses look good because they go against horrible offenses every week. just like the pac-10 the sec stinks this year. anyone thinking differently isn't paying attention.

Carrol's best QBs:

1. matt leinert
BIG GAP
2. Sanchez
3. Palmer (if you take out the last 5 games of his senior year he would be ranked by far the worse)
4. Booty

Carrol's first season with palmer:

G Cmp Att Yds TD Int Y/A Cmp% Rate Y/G
11 206 351 2567 13 12 7.3 58.7 125.5 233.4

John David Booty:
YEAR CMP ATT YDS CMP% YPA LNG TD INT SACK RAT
2006 269 436 3347 61.7 7.68 62 29 9 14 144.01
2007 215 340 2361 63.2 6.94 63 23 10 12 138.01

Higher completion %, twice as many tds, less INTs, and higher passing rating both years. Booty had far worse receivers than palmer in 2007.

If palmer didn't light up ND there is no chance in hell he would have won the heisman. he looked horrible up until that point. he is the least deserving heisman winner in YEARS.
