Floridas freshmen are demanding release

From Posters and UF Media contacts, possible transfers

Dominique Easley - Penn State
Sharrif Floyd - Penn State
Ronald Powell -USC
Leon Orr
Mack Brown
Dee Finley
John Brantley (obviously unless they start with a Pro-QB set)
Gerald Christian
Matt Patchan (whom has looked for an excuse to leave after injuries)
Josh Evans
Moses Jenkins

Trust me the list will go on, these kids were in depth chart fights and lost either their Head Coach or their Head Coach and Position Coach and honestly losing Meyer was tough but the McCarney was really tough as well. Trust me Addazio held his own in the spring and the problems that came up with some of the the freshamn linemen recruits mainly Powell and Easley this is not an easy salvageable program and ultimately could face similar loses as we did....

Truthfully do I want any of those non qualified depth chart people or just ego maniacs like Powell or Easley, UNLESS they conduct themselves when they think CCS won;t turn their behinds inside out, but they may need to prove to us before we prove to them and if not let powell go to USC and work with yaw-yaw and if he turns out to be nothing so be it!
I doubt they lose most of those kids. I expect a few will transfer though. I do expect some apathy though which can be worse for a program than a few transfers. How this plays out will be determined by who they bring in as HC.

Just seen this on my phone. Is this list confirmed and do we have a shot with any?

Harsh reaction from players, if you remember we had the same thing when kiffin left..

Several freshman left town only to come back in a couple of weeks..

They can demand all they want. Florida doesn't have to and probably won't release them. They can leave of their own accord anytime they want, they just have to be prepared to sit out a year. Tough breaks....

This. Kill thread.

Just heard that all the freshmen are demanding that they should be allowed to transfer after meyer promised them all if they stayed commited he would be they're couch for 4 years.:rtfm:

thats what they get for believing a coach:loco:

any way you cut it, meyer gave a big middle finger to florida so i can relate to player wanting to leave

They should have known after Urban quit last year that he likely would not hang around for the next 4 years...

A pretty credible poster on VQ said he expects 10 or so to transfer. I just remember all the talk when Kiffin left, and I dont think it will be that much. Yes, IMO some will leave, but not quite that many.

If they get Mullen, most, if not all of those guys will remain on board. Dan Mullen can sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves. He will be successful at Florida. Hell, look at what he has done with that program in 2 years in a stacked SEC West. What do you think is going to happen when he becomes a coach in talent rich state like Florida? To be honest, I'm kind of worried. I honestly believe that Florida's success was more Mullen than Meyer.

i agree strong was also very important

Whifffff... smell that? I love the smell of scorched earth.

Gator chomp.

I agree. I hope they get a slug for a coach; hope Spurrier doesn't go back there. Every game they lose is a blessing. Guess that Gata flu hit early this year. LOL.:cray:

"Foley told us it's his job to bring in a GREAT coach(Zook) for this team and he told us not to worry about it at all — 'that will be the easy part. I will bring in a great coach(Zook), this has happened before and bringing in a great coach (Zook) is the easiest part of this deal.

Maybe Zook is still available. He gets my vote. LMAO.:birgits_giggle:

lol at the list....everyone but Floyd,Powell and Easley have used their RS year so they'll lose a yr unless they are going to play for a FCS program. Powell going back to USC is crazy he doesn't care for Kiffin.

I read that Powell wanted to go transfer to Oregon. That was back in October though.

Jimmy Hyams reports that Dunkley is upset with the Nukeese Richardson situation and has committed to Florida. He's also reporting that Matt Elam got a call from Urban Meyer and started crying and committed back to Florida in the process. Can anyone confirm?

original. yawn.

I don't know about you guys but I don't have much sympathy for Taylor especially

Oh I am so right there with you ! :salute:

fsu is sitting pretty on top

FSU is wondering how to sign the all :eek:lol:

man this is so great I got to enjoy the "I told you he would be gone in a year" to the gator fans at the office ..... now who has mud on their face. Life is good :good!:

It was Easley who wanted to head to Oregon, still does, no news if he will though. Other than that, I bet no more than three players transfer. The NCAA does not make it easy for transfers, and UF will hire a very big name coach to keep the class and players happy. What will hurt is the rest of the recruiting class IMO.

Oh and hi guys, first page of this thread had me LOL'ing. Keep it real.

Couch, seriously who listens to a couch?
