I thought from the beginning, having been around some of Napier’s coaches at UL (they were my neighbors) 😂… he is a fantastic and high character guy.. but I think it is a cultural clash with U of F.. these are not attributes that one naturally associates with that program or university.. not being mean, just being for real.. it will start to get on their nerves if it hasn’t already

Listening to them brings back bad memories. I used the same excuses, said some of the same things in the past. I am so happy with our current AD and coach!

I don't know what the future holds for Florida, but I don't believe that Stricklin or Napier are the answer. Is there something weird going on at Florida? How bad does the administration stink at UF? They hired Stricklin from Mississippi State and then Strickland hires Mullen. Stricklin and Mullen had Mississippi State humming, but Mullen lasted only a few years and Stricklin is probably on his way out the door if things do get better soon.

Saying that Napier's has high character and this will get on the administrators' nerves is a very interesting statement. Are you able to give a little more information? Is the administration (outside the AD's office) that dysfunctional? I believe results suggest that you are correct.

We went to church with the entire ULL football team lol, saying it without saying it, he is very ‘churchy’ as were all of his assistants (I’m not downing it, I think it’s great.. it just makes me laugh when thinking about the Gator peebombing crowd) 😂

Thank you for the response and I get it now (I am a little dense). There are not many university administrators attending church these days. Says something about Stricklin if he can't see that there may be a cultural clash. The alternative is that Napier was forced upon him, but I don't see that as being possible.

If this is an example of a Napier coached team, hope they keep him 20 more years. lol. Other teams need to get ready for an explosion of gators in the transfer portal when it opens next. That was brutal. Let's hope they don't improve before our game.
Have a feeling a moving van will mysteriously appear in front of his house soon.

They would have to really tank to fire Sun Belt Billy. I think they will be very mediocre this year, but still manage to win 5-6 games and they'll chalk it up as a "rebuilding year." But they'll find it hard to maintain that top 5 class with a losing record and a coach on the hot seat.

If they fire their coach after only two years, they'll struggle to get anyone worth it interested in taking that job. Unless they can do what we managed to do and stumble onto some egregious breach of contract.

Game is still in Florida, so you never know. I have confidence in our team, but for some reason that damn place always seems to bring out the worst in us. Hopefully we will get up a few scores early and they will have to play from behind.
