I guess we’ll have this discussion until there’s no more football. I think with the level of intelligence I’ve seen displayed on this board SURELY we all understand the sentiment of both statements…1. You can win BIG with decent recruiting 2. Having a top ranked recruiting class year in and out is CLEARLY a good thing. But hey…let the conversation continue.

Love Tennessee hate UGA. But I have zero confidence TCU keeps this within 21. Will proudly come back and take "the ribbing" if I am wrong. Nothing about any of the matchup favors TCU.

I said same thing about them beating Michigan who beat OSUs ass at the shoe who just hunt 41 on Ga.
To beat ga all you need is your oline to hold up for 60 min . Nobody on gods green earth can cover somebody for long if you can’t get pressure on Qb. TCU is a tough team , I’m rolling Duggan out all game and he is 250 lbs and can run and deliver punishment . Funny how everybody thinks Ga is unbeatable. Block the ****ing defensive line of theirs and your receivers will get open . You beat Ga just like Ohio State almost did create a shoot out .

TCU has lost 38% of the players from their classes from 2018 - 2021. Michigan has lost 29% of their players from the same classes.

Tennessee has lost 52% of their signings from those classes.

How would you rerank them?

With Portal and NIL recruiting rankings are beginning to mean less and less each year.

Top 20 Recruiting class with NIL , Transfer portal and a good coach equals a chance at a natty. Times are changing Georgia won’t see the championship game after this year for awhile . Book it.

Flash I absolutely hope you are right. But watching last night the game was all Ohio State until Harrison went out. I also pay zero attention to how common opponents fair against the same teams. It proves nothing. Ohio States roster is probably as close to the talent of UGA as anyone. Again I hope I am wrong. And will be on Volnation to take the ridicule if TCU wins. But it will not be until after the game. I can't watch a rival win the national championship. The last championship game I watched was the year Ohio State won the first CFP playoff. My time is much to valuable.

Bowl games do not really prove this. Ky for example, they were a much better team in the regular season as the team they put on the field in their bolw game. And also to be fair you would have to look at the teams sec record, not overall record. A team that wins by a good margin in the sec usually does very well in their bowl games. Ky was 3-5 in sec play. fla 3-5 mo 3-5 then look at the conference records of the ones they played in a bowl game. Ark was 3-5 in sec Look at the teams again who had a good record in sec and see how they fared. Tn won, Bama won, Ga. won. The ones getting beat usually had a losing record in the sec.

It seems like those people who think recruiting rankings matter are right after that game. I think it’s clearly who has better players that is most important and the recruiting rankings miss on guys for sure. Schools probably don’t care about it, but none of us go look at recruits and know better than the guys doing the rankings (except ESPN maybe). But when you have tons of top 5 classes in a row you can miss some evaluations and still be loaded.

Yeah how did that 30th ranking show up on the Field last night. Dykes is not in the same stratosphere as Heupel.... Not even ***** close. TcU loses at least 4 games in the SEC. They simply did not belong

I really think TCU would have been a five loss team in the SEC.. I don’t know the formula these playoff people use, but clearly the metrics don’t work lol

And look what happened to them. It looked like the Kansas City Chiefs playing Knox Catholic. TCU got donkey stomped like no other ever has in a NC game. Dykes is a very good coach. As a matter of fact Inthnk he is one of the best coaches in America. And what happened to him? He got abused by a more talented team.

At some point you people who keep harping that stars don’t matter are gonna have to realize how crazy you look.

OSU belonged. I have stated they can play with anyone. I believe Michigan wasn't very excited for TCU and they sh1t the bed or its a similar story. Course it always helps when you have two turnovers for instant scores. Bottom line is that team last night was a complete embarrassment that anyone with a brain knew was coming. If OSU beat UGA it would have been the same ass kicking. They did not belong on the field.

Kirby Smart has had exactly one head coaching job in his career and has won 2 national championships (and played in a 3rd). He was a tremendously successful defensive coordinator at Bama. He has won everywhere he has been. But you contend he can't coach? C'mon man. You might not like him and he might coach at a rival but saying the man cant outcoach anyone is just insane.

Last night wasn't coaching. That is the true disparity between the SEC and the B12. Sure OSU came down to coaching. Georgia straight whipped those guys mentally and physically. There was not a single point in that game TCU looked like they belong there. Congrats to UGA but the NC was won when they beat OSU. The results of each game is proof
