For Those That Question CDD

Yes. Dooley should have had enough time to build depth to at least mitigate the damage caused by the injury bug.

It's freakin' Louisiana Tech. How built up can that roster get?

I guarantee that Alabama would lose games if 20 of their starters/backups were out for a good length of time.

Whose to say he didn't? Were you and avid follower of La Tech sports before Dooley came here? I'm not saying he did or didn't but do you really KNOW that he didn't find some diamonds in the rough?

I think that his 4 wins his third year show that he didn't.

I wasn't aware Louisiana Tech didn't have the same 85 scholarship allotment the rest of D-1 has.

How much elite talent do the Idahos and Utah States of the world have?

Yeah, it's so much easier to recruit to New Mexico State.

Did New Mexico State have 20+ injuries to their starting two deep? Also I'm pretty sure if they did they sure as hell wouldn't have lost 5 games with only total of 25 pts while throwing LSU, Boise St, and Fresno in there as well.

Always reverting back to the win column. That wasn't the topic of conversation. I believe we were talking about discovering talent and according to you, his inability to find ANY diamonds in the rough.

We all know how many wins the guy had, it's common knowledge.

Kiffin was in Year 1. Dooley was in Year 3. Huge difference.

No. It really isn't. If you have mass injuries in your two deep it doesn't matter who recruited them. You are going to have difficulty replacing them.

So much fail in this thread.

To sum it up:

1) 17-20 in the WAC = SEC legend :blink::blink:

2) Recruiting is meaningless at La Tech since La Tech doesn't have the same allotment of scholarships as everybody else (even though they really do :lolabove:)

irony.

SGM, so Dooley doesn't have an excuse for not winning at Tech?

So why didn't your man-crush CLK win at Oakland? No excuses remember...

Would love to see where that was posted....

Also, my argument wasn't that he couldn't have done better, there is ALWAYS room for improvement.

Just saying that yes, Louisiana has very fertile recruiting grounds much like Texas or Florida, however those states are recruited by every major program in the country.

Just a guess, but I would think that a 3 star in any of the above states gets as many offers as say a 4 star in Tennessee...

1) 17-20 WAC = SEC legend is pretty much the cry of the pro-Dooley camp in everything they post.

2) I agree that a three star outside of Tennessee probably does get as many or more offers than a four-star recruit from the state of Tennessee. HOWEVER...Louisiana still churns out enough good players every year that a LaTech type school should get their fair share.

Just my two cents.
